As anyone who has followed the Trump presidency knows, the Democrats and their media allies will create a hoax out of nothing. They will sell it to the American public as the latest example of incompetence, of racism, of ignorance, etc. They create these works of fiction to foster hysteria, a sense of outrage and a panic that the world as we know it is ending. Their ultimate goal is the removal of PDJT from office.
So, it is not surprising to see the Democrats and their joined-at-the-hip allies in the media attacking PDJT with more lies in the middle of a global pandemic. While the President is asking all to come together as a country to overcome the challenges that the Wuhan virus is creating, the Democrats just see the pandemic as another opportunity to oust our duly elected President from office. This is the mantra of the power-mad, “Never let a crisis go to waste.”
To this end the media have been churning out hoaxes hoping that one or more will resonate with the public despite there being no basis in fact. One could almost make a full time job out of debunking the lies that the Democrats have been peddling.
Let’s look at some of the more recent hoaxes.
The first that comes to mind is the claim that Joe Biden made during one of the debates. Biden claimed that President Trump refused an offer of Wuhan coronavirus test kits from the World Health Organization (WHO).
Joe Biden’s statement:
This is an incredibly ignorant statement. WHO doesn’t actually provide testing kits to countries with robust health care systems. Nor does it develop testing recipes. Currently there are at least seven different approaches from seven different countries including the US. Each approach focuses on a different part of the genetic sequence of the virus.
WHO focuses its resources on developing nations that need help. WHO also acts as a clearinghouse for the various testing models that are developed by different countries. A country can use whatever formula or recipe that it likes. The U.S. has historically always developed its own tests and provided its own materials. Again, to repeat, WHO does not provide testing kits. There are no testing kits to buy from WHO.
Is Joe Biden ignorant? Or was this some form of cognitive impairment issue? Or was he handed a script to follow?
Second hoax…PDJT cut CDC foreign work from 49 to 10 countries. This one is just as bad as the first one. During his administration President Obama had set up programs in 47 vulnerable countries, to protect against something just like Coronavirus breaking out across the world. The media, with the Democrats latching on, reported that the CDC was forced to cut its global outreach efforts from 49 countries to 10.
Rubbish!
While there may have been a proposal to cut pandemic funding at the CDC, that proposal disappeared in to the trash bin. In fact, CDC funding for the year in question (2018) was increased not cut.
This did not prevent various media outlets with running with some form of this fabrication. The NYTimes, that venerable gold standard of journalism, said,
“In 2018, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention narrowed its epidemic work to 10 countries from 49, declaring victory on the global health security agenda started by the previous administration.”
False. Apparently their fact checkers did not check the facts.
Business Insider reported,
In 2018, for instance, the CDC cut 80% of its efforts to prevent global disease outbreaks because it was running out of money. Ultimately, the department went from working in 49 countries to just 10.
False. Perhaps they used the NYTimes as their source.
I could continue but you get the point.
FactCheck.org notes,
CDC operating budget plans show that its funding for global public health protection — which includes global disease detection and emergency response and global public health capacity — increased from $58 million in fiscal year 2017 to around $108 million in fiscal years 2018 and 2019. (And that does not include any remaining supplemental funds available for use.) The increases included nearly $50 million more each year for CDC’s global health security initiatives.
Those amounts went up again in fiscal year 2020, when the CDC was awarded $183 million for global public health protection, overall, and $125 million specifically for its global health security efforts. For fiscal year 2021, President Donald Trump has requested that CDC funding for global disease detection and other programs be increased further — to $225 million total, with $175 million going directly to global health security.
With its current funding, Bartee said, the CDC is actually working in “more than 60 countries” — not 10 (emphasis added)— to address the threat of global infectious diseases and outbreaks.
So, the reality was exactly opposite of what the MSM was trying to sell. How did so many of these media outlets get it wrong? Was it just poor journalistic practices or did malicious intent play a role? Maybe it’s both? You be the judge.
Then there’s the hoax that PDJT closed the White House pandemic response office. The usual culprits ran headlines highlighting PDJT’s absolute lack of concern over the public health.

None of this is remotely true. Most of the top experts are still there. The unit now reports under the umbrella of the counter-proliferation and biodefense office on the National Security Council (NSC).
Tim Morrison, former senior director for counterproliferation and biodefense on the NSC, explained that what took place was a streamlining of three directorates into one. Congressional oversight committees and members of the Obama administration itself had all agreed the NSC had grown too large.
Morrison noted,
“It is this reorganization that critics have misconstrued or intentionally misrepresented. If anything, the combined directorate is stronger because related expertise could be commingled.”
So the White House pandemic function still exists. It’s just that the number of bureaucrats has been reduced. The top researchers and best professionals in their fields now work within the counter-proliferation and biodefense office.
Once again, the media and the Democrats have blatantly misrepresented the facts in an attempt to advance their own power. Of course, the Democrats being the socialists that they are, they cannot comprehend a situation where a reduction in the size of a government work force would actually make things better.
The Democrats believe that the answer to all problems is an increase in government. How many tens of trillions of dollars have been wasted on the “War on Poverty?” The Trump economy with its reduction in government oversight is now winning that war.
