The entire Russian collusion debacle was played out to the max even though every person in the media, every Democratic politician and even Robert Mueller knew there was no evidence of collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia. This has now been attested to by AG Bill Barr last week, who said that the initiation of the investigation known as Crossfire Hurricane was “without any basis.” But the lie was carried forward for over two years. The absolute derangement of those on the left is unprecedented.
This derangement was visible with the subsequent faux impeachment over a legitimate investigation into the money laundering that was going on in Ukraine. Ukraine is another example of how there is one set of laws for those elite members of the Left while there is a different set of laws for the common people.
The only collusion that we have seen is by corrupt Democrats, government officials and a complicit media. There is no lie that they will not attempt if it might bring down the President of the United States. Why? Because PDJT beat Hillary Clinton and PDJT threatens the gravy train (literally trillions of dollars) that so many of them have feasted on. This has been an attempted coup, carried out right here in our country.
The most important weapon? The press! They all salivated at the thought of showing how powerful they are by destroying this presidency. They have not given up yet.
The Chinese virus (COVID-19) has given the press a new vantage point from which to attack the President. This post will not be a dive into the media’s treatment of the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) duplicity during the early stages of the pandemic. It almost does not exist. That’s a story for another time.
During the early stages of the epidemic, anecdotal stories surfaced about hydroxychloroquine (HCQ) being efficacious in treating victims of the virus. These stories surfaced from countries overseas including China. They included some lab studies. The press’s treatment of these stories was fair and even-handed.
Then PDJT mentioned its potential at one of his daily press briefings. As AG Barr noted in his interview last week, the media went on a “jihad” against the drug. They used the President’s statements to buttress their claims that PDJT was “misinforming” the public.
The press has been trumpeting statements that the drug is “unproven.” That using it against the virus is “dangerous.” That there are “serious side effects.” This is being said about the number one prescribed treatment worldwide for COVID-19 according to a recent survey.
With this dichotomy one has to ask, what gives? Is the drug “unproven?” What are the side effects?
The answer to the first question is a resounding “No.” The drug has been used for more than half a century to treat malaria, lupus and rheumatoid arthritis. It is an FDA approved drug for these illnesses. The drug has not been subject to the gold standard of an FDA clinical trial for COVID-19. This is considered an off-label use of the drug. Is that illegal? No!
Off-label use of approved drugs are not uncommon. One such example is Avastin (bevacizumab). Originally developed to combat certain kinds of cancer (it is approved by the FDA), it is now also used to combat certain kinds of macular degeneration of the eye. It is the number one treatment in the world including the US. It is still not approved by the FDA for this specific condition.
As far as side effects are concerned and there is one serious one, it has to do with a potential arrhythmia of the heart. The arrhythmia can be fatal. An EKG of elderly patients is advised. The occurrence of this side effect is approximately one in 2500. The current mortality rate from COVID-19 ranges from about 40/2500 to 250/2500.
A typical article by the MSM is a recent one by NPR’s Vanessa Romo on Friday. Romo starts the jihad with the headline, COVID-19 Patients Given Unproven Drug In Texas Nursing Home In ‘Disconcerting’ Move. The article goes downhill from there. It includes the lie that the FDA has not approved the drug. The FDA gave emergency authorization for its use a week ago.
The article also implied that the nursing home was experimenting on patients unable to fend for themselves. It turns out that most residents were able to give consent.
This article by Romo is typical of what one can find in the MSM. Denigrate and smear people on the frontlines who are using a treatment regimen that the President likes. Several governors jumped on this bandwagon. Michigan’s threatened the professional licenses of anyone who would prescribe this drug or fill a prescription for it.
Why are the media trying to scare the public away from using this drug? Are the media and Democratic governors trying to extend the pandemic? Does the media want more deaths? One doctor in upstate NY has a zero mortality rate using the drug with some 700 patients.
This is frightening. The Left’s attack on our democracy has now reached the point that the lives of Americans are just cannon fodder for them. Blatant lies from the media are used to misinform a huge number of Americans. James Carville, a Democratic Party operative, says Republicans ‘will kill people to stay in power, literally.’ How long will it be before some James Hodgkinson wannabe will show up to attempt another assassination of Republicans?
There is no longer anyone with a conscience over on the Left. The need to acquire money and power are the only things that matter to them.
This is just another attack on America and America’s President.
It is time for a reckoning.
