New court documents have been filed under seal in the Michael Flynn case. General Flynn was accused of lying to FBI agents in January of 2017. As more and more corrupt activities within the FBI have been exposed, it is becoming clear that Flynn was set up and that serious misconduct occurred by the FBI and the DOJ in the investigation and prosecution of this case.
The new documents allegedly include exonerating evidence about Flynn. They also allegedly include evidence of malfeasance by the FBI during its investigation of Flynn.
Sean Davis, co-founder of The Federalist, reported that the new documents will reflect poorly on the FBI. It is not clear when those documents will be unsealed and made available to the public for review.
Because of multiple allegations of misconduct as well as DOJ IG reports that documented egregious violations of department standards and protocols, the US Attorney from the Eastern District of Missouri was brought in to review the Flynn case. As a result of that review, the DOJ provided the Flynn defense with additional materials.

Please note that Powell refers to BRADY evidence. Brady v. Maryland, 373 U.S. 83 (1963), was a landmark United States Supreme Court case that established that the prosecution must turn over all evidence that might exonerate the defendant (exculpatory evidence) to the defense. Apparently the prosecution did not do that in this case.
However, it is much worse than that. In essence, Powell is saying that these materials prove that General Flynn was deliberately set up and framed by corrupt agents in the upper echelon of the FBI. A rogue bunch of people decided that General Flynn was too much of a threat to expose corrupt activities within the Obama administration. So, no later than August, 2016, they began a baseless investigation hoping to derail General Flynn.
In addition, the materials show that the prosecutor made baseless threats to indict the general’s son who had a four month old baby at home at the time. This is unlawful activity by the prosecutor. The prosecutor made a deal with Flynn’s former defense team to hide the terms of the plea to cover up their corrupt activity.

Judge Sullivan will rule on the request to withdraw the guilty plea on May 3rd.
