Federal Election Commission (FEC) records show that more than 50% of the $32.7 million raised by the DNC in March came from Michael Bloomberg. Specifically $18 million came from Bloomberg.
Bloomberg did this after he decided to stiff those people who had signed on with him for jobs that would last until November. DNC Chairman Tom (“You can’t be a Democrat if you are pro-life”) Perez said the funds would “help us invest in more organizers across the country to elect the next president and help Democrats win up and down the ballot.”
Does Perez realize that there are strings attached to this bequest from Bloomberg? Will Bloomberg have a right to approve/disapprove DNC activities? After all, he appears to be a majority stakeholder in the DNC now.
