Police have released the driver who allegedly killed an armed protester Saturday night in downtown Austin, Texas.
Just before 10 p.m. Saturday evening, a car turned down the street toward the protesters and the driver started honking the horn. The vehicle stopped in the roadway and was mobbed by the crowd. The crowd began slamming the car as is typical in these situations. The idea is to force the occupants out of the vehicle where, as described in the Antifa guide book, the Antifa thugs can f*ck them up.
As this was going on, Garrett Foster, who has been referred to as both an Antifa protester and a BLM protester, approached the driver’s side window. Foster was armed with what appeared to be an AK-47. Based on frame grabs of video at the scene and multiple witness statements, Foster pointed the weapon at the driver who then opened fire, striking Foster.
The driver drove away and then called police to report that he had shot someone. The driver was taken into custody and was reported to be cooperating with the police investigation. He has since been released.
Video at the scene showed people who were incredulous that a shooting had taken place. Just how do these people think? You decide to terrorize the occupants of a vehicle without considering the possible consequences? Do these people think that they have the right to do this? Are these people living in some fantasy land where they believe they can do whatever they want without there being negative consequences? Do they think that because they stand up against “police brutality” they get a pass on their own criminality?
Garrett Foster’s death is a tragedy. However, it is the direct result of these people thinking they can f*ck people up without there being consequences.
