U.S. Energy Secretary, Jennifer Granholm, goes on CNN and claims that the Biden administration has no responsibility for gas prices likely to reach $4/gal. She adds that Americans this year are almost certain to pay historic amounts for home heating oil and natural gas as well. Again, she disclaims all responsibility for the fiasco that the administration is inflicting on America. What planet is this person from?
20 to 30 years ago it might have been true that we were at the mercy of the OPEC cartel when it came to how much oil and natural gas were available in the global market. However, technology has allowed us to unlock hydrocarbons in this country that were previously difficult if not impossible to cheaply bring up to the surface. America has more cheap energy resources than all of OPEC combined.
Granholm talks about OPEC as being a cartel which they certainly are. However, the only reason that they can currently control the amount of oil on the world market is that the administration has cut off production of new wells in this country.
How does one administration find all of the stupidest, most incompetent people? Please be reminded that Granholm was actually a governor (Michigan) at one point in time. Why was there no pushback from the interviewer? Is the interviewer as incompetent as Granholm? During the Trump administration oil and gas prices came down and stayed down. This lowered the cost of living significantly. Americans had more money in their pockets to spend on other things besides food and energy.
Granholm goes onto say that the 1.2 trillion dollar boondoggle passed last week will bring the cost of living down. Nonsense. It will exacerbate the current problem with inflation. This is willful gaslighting on her part. In other words, Granholm is lying through her teeth.

Permit the use of preexisting approved leases in ANWAR (Alaska) to put more volume into the Alaskan oil pipeline that is severely underutilized.

Finish the Dakota access pipeline.

Reapprove the preexisting energy leases in New Mexico, Arizona, NE Atlantic and Gulf of Mexico.

Retract the stoppage of the Keystone pipeline to permit efficient oil transport shipments from Canada.

Stop blocking the expansion of coastal oil refineries in Texas, Louisiana and Alabama (regulatory issue), as well as Northwest, Northeast and Southeast Seaboard.

Continue to develop natural gas as a clean burning fuel.

Drive Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) as an export.
The administration is gaslighting the public when they cry over the fact that OPEC will not increase production. Are hydrocarbons from the Middle East and Russia somehow less carbon intensive than those extracted from US wells? This is another lie that the Dems would like everyone to believe.
What the Saudis are pumping now is sour. It has lots of sulfur in it. Sour oil is hard to turn into gasoline. Again, why is Middle East oil better?

Nothing will bring back the United States to a Constitutional Government unless the People commit the “willingness” to bring back a Constitutional Government for the American People.
