Odds & Ends

Is this woman a product of our higher educational system or is she an escapee from a hospital for criminally insane?  Perhaps both statements are true.

In Texas, State Representative Terry Meza (D-Irving) has introduced HB196. Her bill would amend the state’s “Castle Doctrine.” This doctrine allows a homeowner to use deadly force against an armed intruder who breaks into his home.

Now listen to what she has to say…  “I’m not saying that stealing is okay,” Meza explained. “All I’m saying is that it doesn’t warrant a death penalty. Thieves only carry weapons for self-protection and to provide the householder an incentive to cooperate. They just want to get their loot and get away. When the resident tries to resist is when people get hurt. If only one side is armed, fewer people will be killed.”

Meza was quick to reassure that her bill would not totally prevent homeowners from defending themselves.  Under her new law, “… the homeowner’s obligation is to flee the home at the first sign of intrusion. If fleeing is not possible, he must cooperate with the intruder. But if violence breaks out it is the homeowner’s responsibility to make sure no one gets hurt. The best way to achieve this is to use the minimum non-lethal force possible because intruders will be able to sue for any injuries they receive at the hands of the homeowner.”

“In most instances the thief needs the money more than the home- owner does,” Meza reasoned. “The homeowner’s insurance reimburse his losses. On balance, the transfer of property is likely to lead to a more equitable distribution of wealth. If my bill can help make this transfer a peaceful one so much the better.”

And this person is an elected representative in the State of Texas representing the Demo-Communist Party.  Where do they find these people?

The mindless wonder occupying the White House is weighing deploying thousands of US troops to the Ukraine.

In a meeting on Saturday at Camp David, the presidential retreat in Maryland, senior Pentagon officials presented Mr. Biden with several options that would shift American military assets much closer to Mr. Putin’s doorstep, the administration officials said. The options include sending 1,000 to 5,000 troops to Eastern European countries, with the potential to increase that number tenfold if things deteriorate.

Joe Biden needs a war to shift the public’s attention away from the catastrophe unfolding in this country.  He wants to sacrifice our young people to avoid the blame for the many grossly incompetent decisions he has made including the 13 dead service members in Afghanistan.

White House press secretary Jen Psaki has announced that she will be leaving the position sometime this year.

The press secretary was discussing recent issues with host Joy Behar, who in the final moments of the program, said: “A little bird told me that you said you might be retiring, resigning the job this year. Say it isn’t so. Is it true?”

Psaki laughed, then responded: “I don’t know when I’m leaving. This is an honor and a privilege and I love working for President Obam–Biden,” slipping in the name of her former boss before correcting herself.

Oops is right.  Did the truth just slip out?  It might be the first time this year that Psaki has spoken the truth.

Is this a sign of a change in the attitudes of Big Media.  I am surprised that this interview was not stopped due to “technical difficulties.”

CBS host Margaret Brennan is shocked, shocked, at the responses from her middle America panel when asked for an update on how their lives have been made better by the occupant of the White House.   Not one of the panelists indicated that anything was better.

Curiously, and again feeding actual data that rises above the officially sponsored national propaganda, four of the six panelists are not vaccinated.  Three voted for Biden, and three are identified as Trump supporters.  However, all six panelists say their lives have gotten worse under Joe Biden.

Everyone agreed their #1 issue is the astronomical inflation that is hitting them hard.  Specifically, the out of control food prices are mentioned. All of the group also agree that Biden’s COVID policy is a hot mess of conflicting gibberish that doesn’t make sense, and the spending on masks and home tests is ridiculous and of no value.
