Zuck Throws The FBI Under The Bus?

An interesting interview happened to come my way.  During a discussion with Joe Rogan, Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg was asked about the pre-2020 election story involving the Hunter Biden laptop.  While Zuckerburg dances cautiously around the story, he does imply that the FBI told Facebook that a Russian disinformation story was about to emerge on the political scene.  This happened the day before the NYPost released the Hunter Biden laptop story.

Let’s remember that Senator Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) has recently reported that an FBI whistleblower has come forward with evidence the FBI’s Washington DC field office was specifically working to coverup any discoveries around the Hunter Biden laptop.

Let’s also remember that Dr. Robert Epstein, a Democrat, had warned of Big Tech’s outsized ability to influence elections.  Epstein has testified before Congress a number of times going back to after the 2012 election.

After all but saying that the FBI told Facebook that the laptop story was Russian disinformation, as the interview goes forward, Zuckerberg offers the usual platitudes about the FBI being a top-notch, professional, law enforcement organization.  Therefore, they, Facebook, felt obligated to take the warning seriously.  This resulted in a diminishment of the story on Facebook.  Zuck avoided saying just how diminished.

My spidey sense says that Zuckerberg is feeling the winds of change and is trying to position his company out of the line of fire over the building story of malfeasance within the DOJ and the FBI.  Zuckerberg appears to be implying that they were hoodwinked by the intelligence agencies.  This may be the first salvo into trying to avoid changes to Section 230 of the Communications Act that removes liability from the tech platforms for what is or is not on them.

As the interview goes on, Zuckerberg slips into the Ministry of Truth mode.  He talks about the need for independent fact checkers to determine what is fact and what is not.  This sounds an awful lot like the World Economic Forum’s (WEF) super AI that would curate all ideas out on the Internet and determine what individuals and what ideas should not be allowed to circulate on the Internet.  At no point does he or Joe Rogan discuss the fact that God has given everyone a tool to do this.  It is called a brain.  They assume that the typical American voter does not have the common sense or the ability to make their own decisions about information.

A few questions come to mind.  Did Zuckerberg admit that our own government’s Federal law enforcement colluded with private companies to affect the outcome of an election?  This question needs to be pursued in other venues.  What is scarier?  Someone saying something controversial or having corporations deciding what we can think?
