Solidarity

Things are getting very interesting in Europe, particularly those countries with significant uprisings of farmers and truckers.  At this point at least nine European countries (Poland, Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands, France, Ireland, Portugal, Romania and Greece) are experiencing such protests.  Of course, people in this country would not know that since such news is suppressed here by Pravda, that is, Big Media.

WARSAW, Feb 2 (Reuters) – Polish farmers from the Solidarity trade union plan a general strike starting next Friday with a blockade of border crossings between Poland and Ukraine, it said, joining similar protests, opens new tab all over Europe.

“Our patience has run out. Brussels’ position on the last day of January 2024 is unacceptable for our entire agricultural community,” the trade union said in a statement dated Thursday.

“Additionally, the passivity of the Polish authorities… regarding the import of agricultural produce and food products from Ukraine leave us with no other choice but to declare a general strike.”

The biggest issue seems to be the insane regulations being imposed on farmers in the pursuit of climate change and net zero carbon emissions.

Let’s be reminded that Polish Solidarity was not some extremist group but ordinary Polish people who were prepared to strike over bread and butter issues.

This should be interesting to watch.  Remember that what happens over there often gets transferred over here.
