Someone should check on the status of hell. The reason: The NYTimes has published that Ukraine is losing the war. And this occurred before the completion of election voting.
New York Times reported:
“American military and intelligence officials have concluded that the war in Ukraine is no longer a stalemate as Russia makes steady gains, and the sense of pessimism in Kyiv and Washington is deepening.
The dip in morale and questions about whether American support will continue pose their own threat to Ukraine’s war effort. Ukraine is losing territory in the east, and its forces inside Russia have been partially pushed back.”
Ukraine has been losing the war for a long time. Russia had the upper hand and was content to wage a war of attrition. The West’s “super weapons” did very little to change the course of the war. Every few months one would hear about some game-changer weapon that would be deployed that would send Russia scurrying back to Moscow while suing for peace.
None of that ever happened. What has happened is the exposing of Western militaries as being less formidable that their PR stats. And when Russia needed to send a message about escalation, they were able to do so. How many American, British, Swedish, German military personnel have died “on vacation” during the last two years?
Of course, the NYTimes could not publish too many real facts. The NYTimes stated that Russia has had double the losses of Ukraine. The real numbers are about 4 Ukrainian KIA to every Russian one.
The NYTimes did note:
“U.S. government analysts concluded this summer that Russia was unlikely to make significant gains in Ukraine in the coming months, as its poorly trained forces struggled to break through Ukrainian defenses. But that assessment proved wrong.”
Wrong? That assessment missed the boat by a wide margin. That’s like saying that Reagan edged Carter in 1980 presidential election.
Russian troops have made sweeping advances in the Donbas region of eastern Ukraine, made progress in other parts of the front, and conquered more territory in October than in any other month in the past two years.
The only thing that has not happened is a complete collapse of Ukraine’s ability to make war.
This could all have been avoided if Obama’s CIA had not overthrown the duly elected Ukrainian government in 2014.
