Freedom Story

“Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.”
I was watching history being made overnight on Saturday into Sunday. So did millions of other people around the world. We all stayed up to watch the first sitting U.S. president cross into North Korea (3:45 AM ET). PDJT and North Korea’s Chairman Kim Jong-un took another step towards peace. And South Korea’s President Moon Jae-in was grinning from ear-to-ear.

Their meeting “constitutes a step further in the walk of peace, not only on that peninsula but in the entire world.” Pope Francis.
May God guide them and watch over them.
PDJT launched his 2020 re-election campaign in Orlando on Tuesday in front of the largest crowd ever at a Presidential campaign stop. The energy in Orlando was incredible. PDJT was really stoked.
This speaks for itself.

An interesting dynamic is playing out in Hong Kong. Protests broke out a week ago over a proposed law that Carrie Lam, Hong Kong’s first female chief executive, supports. The law would allow extradition of Hong Kongers to mainland China.
Please note the use of the term Hong Kongers. Although mostly descended from ethnic Chinese, the vast majority of the residents of Hong Kong do not consider themselves to be Chinese. Hong Kong has had long experience (150 years) with Western rule-of-law concepts. Additionally over 3 million people fled communist China in 1949 to the safety and freedom of Hong Kong. Hong Kongers are not conditioned culturally, as many of those on the mainland are, to the acceptance of totalitarian forms of governance.
Today is the 75th anniversary of the beginning of the end for Hitler’s Germany.
On this day in 1944, Supreme Allied Commander General Dwight D. Eisenhower gave the go-ahead for the largest amphibious military operation in history: Operation Overlord, code named D-Day, the Allied invasion of northern France. The operation had been delayed one day by bad weather.
For Memorial Day weekend, let us remember those who protected our right to be free.
Something a bit different for a Saturday. For sure, this officer saved at least one life and quite possibly many others.

Throughout the mid-term election campaign the DNC instructed their candidates to downplay, deflect and avoid any discussions of impeachment. They knew that this was a non-starter with much of the American public despite a 24/7 news cycle that tried to denigrate and smear PDJT. There were also hundreds of hours of fake news coverage claiming imminent arrest of members of Trump’s family, administration, etc. The Dems promised to restore “civility” to Washington. They also campaigned on governing for the best interests of the American public.
It was all a sham. They lied to the public in order to get control of Congress. They succeeded in the House. Fortunately they did not get control of the Senate despite what appeared to be voter fraud in more than one state. The situation in Brevard County in Florida was ridiculous.
This pretense of civility and governing lasted until the 1st day of Congress. On the day new members of the House were sworn in, Rep. Tlaib raved on camera, “We’re going to impeach the MFer.”
