Tulsi Gabbard has been confirmed as Director of National Intelligence (DNI) by a 52-48 vote in the Senate.  This was accomplished without Gabbard having to call Edward Snowden a traitor.  At one point that seemed to be a requirement for confirmation.  Of course, Snowden was not a traitor.  Snowden was a whistleblower who had seen what happened to other whistleblowers within the NSA.  This was why he took the course of action that he took and why he is still in Russia today.

Ralph Norman (R-SC-5), a member of the US House of Representatives, is one of the 15 House members that are trying to help to make the government more accountable to the people.  Norman, along with 14 other Republican “rebels” forced changes in the procedures governing how the House operates.  Hopefully this will move us away from the era of omnibus bills that are thousands of pages long that no one can adequately review before such behemoths come up for a vote.

This is the method the elite politicians use to push through legislation through that winds up lining the pockets of the legislators’ families.
