Pro Sports Fans Turned Off

A recent Gallup poll showed a devastating collapse in public support for America’s premiere professional sports leagues. Just a year ago, pro sports had a positive favorability rating of 45% vs a 25% negative rating with the rest of the people being neutral. This gave a net +20 rating among all Americans. Today the net is -10 (30% positive, 40% negative).

Fully one-third of all Americans who used to view pro sports positively now think the opposite. This is a huge shift in perspective. This shift in favorability viewing has been most significant among Republicans and independent voters. Republicans went from +11 to -35. Independents went from +26 to -10. Perhaps even more dramatic has been the shift among non-whites where the numbers went from +51 to +16.

Albuquerque Police Department Detective Ryan Holets spoke at the Republican National Convention about the effect of drug use on the community he serves. He praised President Donald Trump for the action he has taken against drug and opioid use, including new federal funding and programs aimed at rural America. Holets pointed to the success of those programs in states where deaths related to opioids have dropped and a dramatic reduction in the prescription of opioid prescriptions. He also mentioned the country had seen its first drop in drug overdose deaths in 30 years

Eric Trump, one of PDJT’s sons, spoke at the Republican National Convention. Eric outlined the movement that created the Trump presidency. He called out the Democrats who hate America, who want to erase history and forget the past except when it suits their political objectives.

Eric pointed out the obvious when he said that the Democrats want to suppress free speech, that the only speech permitted is that which aligns with their thinking. Eric quoted President Reagan,

“Freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction.”

It is getting worse. Facebook has stepped up censorship of ads favorable to PDJT even if they are true. The pressure on social media giants from the far left has gotten to the point where ads that use Joe Biden’s words are blocked because they are “missing context.” In other words it is not that the words were not spoken. It is not that the meaning was manipulated. It’s that the entire speech was not shown so people could not possibly understand what Joe Biden meant.

Recently the Biden campaign has been running ads that say that Biden’s plan will not raise taxes on most people. This is a flat out lie. Biden himself said, “If you elect me, your taxes are going to be raised, not cut.” Biden warned that his plan will raise taxes “on all income groups.” ...

As many of you undoubtedly know already, on Sunday evening a 27-year-old male tried to attack a Lancaster, PA law enforcement officer with a knife. The officer tried to retreat but when the man raised the knife above his head to slash the officer, the officer discharged his weapon killing the man.

The Supreme Court has announced the passing of Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg at the age of 87 from complications of pancreatic cancer.

Chief Justice John G. Roberts, Jr. said of Justice Ginsburg:

“Our Nation has lost a jurist of historic stature. We at the Supreme Court have lost a cherished colleague. Today we mourn, but with confidence that future generations will remember Ruth Bader Ginsburg as we knew her — a tireless and resolute champion of justice.”

Charlie Kirk, president and founder of Turning Point USA, spoke at the Republican National Convention. Kirk began his speech by warning that this election is about preserving the America of our founding fathers or eliminating all that we love about our country.

Kirk pointed out the corrupt nature of those who have led our government for so long. He highlighted the efforts of Donald Trump to reclaim the country for its citizens. Kirk called PDJT our bodyguard, our protector from those who would transform the country away from one of great promise. ...

Deceptive journalism is what Marxist countries do. CBS News which has been caught in the past running deceptive or outright fake images in their news feeds has been caught again. Of course, it is not new that CBS is heavily biased against PDJT. CBS manipulated a picture from President Trump’s “Latino’s for Trump” event to showcase Joe Biden’s Latino outreach effort in Miami.

CBS runs a Breaking News headline that Biden is wooing Latino voters during a Florida campaign stop while running a picture of the overwhelming support for PDJT at a Latino event. ...
