The Senate has voted to overturn the electric vehicle mandate in the state of California. California had received a waiver from the Biden administration’s EPA to impose stricter clean air standards that the EPA requires.  California was well on the road to forbidding the sale of gas-powered vehicles.  The target date was 2035 just ten years from now.

 This vote is going to cause some major anger and anxiety among the climate change activist community.  The resolution to overturn the mandate passed along party lines with one Democrat senator voting for it as well. ...

There is a lot of thought about the use of Executive Orders (EO’s) within the framework of a particular administration.  Of course, legislation carrying out the idea of an EO is the best final result.  Otherwise, EO’s can be overturned by the next administration.  However, with that underlying point made, one commenter of the political scene has defined much of the differences between this administration and the previous one.
