It was an outcome that none of the European political elites who are part of the World Economic Forum saw coming.  Make Romania Great Again candidate Călin Georgescu came out of nowhere and won the first round in the presidential election.  Georgescu is a nationalist candidate who campaigned on an anti-EU and anti-war with Russia platform

The Pardon Mess

White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre was questioned why Joe Biden reversed himself and gave a pardon to his son Hunter after insisting over and over that he would let the process be handled within the justice system.  Of course, there is no real justification.  However, KJP needs to lay the foundation for future “preemptive pardons” before Biden leaves office.

Preemptive Pardons

The pardoning of Hunter Biden by his father was not unexpected even if everyone on the left side of the aisle had insisted that Joe Biden believed so much in the justice system in this country that he would never pardon his son.  This post is not going to get into the whys and wherefores of this activity by Joe Biden.  Regardless of whatever Hunter may have done, Joe Biden had the power to end the prosecutions, so he did.

Notre Dame, an iconic symbol of French heritage and Gothic architecture, suffered major damage in April 2019 when a fire engulfed its roof and spire. Its main structure was saved, along with many of its priceless contents.

This is a different story.

Jen Psaki is someone that we all remember.  Psaki was the White House Press Secretary before she left to her gig on MSNBC.  As press secretaries go, Psaki was light years more qualified than the current occupant of the job.  With Joe Biden pardoning his son Hunter of any and all possible federal crimes between 2014 and now, some of Psaki’s statements have come back to haunt her.

Reflections

Brutally honest.  That is the best description of a press conference that Vladimir Putin held regarding the motives of the outgoing administration as they attempt to escalate the war between NATO and Russia.

I am no expert about Vladimir Putin.  However, I perceive him to be a shrewd individual who genuinely wants to get off the escalatory ladder that Biden, et al, are forcing on him.
