On Tuesday evening Tucker Carlson did a piece on Fox News on the possible origins of COVID-19. In it he discussed a report that claimed that the virus may have originated from a Chinese research laboratory in Wuhan.
The report detailed tracing the origins of the COVID-19 virus to the intermediate horseshoe bat. This bat was not available for sale at the initial epicenter of the outbreak, the Wuhan wet market. The bat does not live locally. In fact, the report noted that native populations were no closer than 600 miles away from the first known cases, making a natural transmission from bat to human quite unlikely.
Carlson said that the report, which cannot be independently confirmed, was created by CHINESE scientists. So the report is unlikely to be racist, anti-Chinese propaganda.
Carlson’s piece noted that there were several bio labs nearby including one just a few hundred yards from the Wuhan wet market. The scientists confirmed that these labs were conducting research on bat coronavirus. These scientists determined that the virus most likely originated at one of these two labs.
This paper has been online for nearly two months (see full report here). During that time there has been little interest by the MSM in looking into the claims made by these Chinese scientists. The few that have authored pieces predictably have been attacked as being xenophobic, racist, dangerous conspiracy theorists, etc.
The National Institute for Health (NIH) in this country labeled as outrageous the idea that the virus might have originated in a lab. Why is the head of NIH screeching like this? There is no way he can know this.
These are Chinese scientists who wrote this paper. It is highly unlikely that they are racist against the Chinese people. Why would the head of the NIH be countering a research paper produced by Chinese scientists without providing some evidence of his own?
No one is saying that the Chinese were trying to engineer a bio-weapon. Most likely someone failed to follow proper decontamination protocols and the virus escaped the lab. This is just another example of a shoddy product in a long line of shoddy products that have come out of China.

Many people remember the pet food scandal of 2007 where the food was contaminated with melamine. Several Chinese nationals and their businesses were later indicted for their role in this. Another melamine scandal involved putting it into milk in China in 2008. There were hundreds of thousands of victims including tens of thousands of babies. The whistleblower was later murdered (shades of Seth Rich?).
More recently China has been sending protective masks and diagnostic tests to countries around the world. This has been China’s attempt to be seen as gratuitously leading the response against the virus. Unfortunately many masks and tests have been found to be defective. Masks were found not to work as intended and tests failed to identify if a patient had the virus. This was not a case of a few failing. Literally tens to hundreds of thousands of defective products have been uncovered.
When one adds the fact that Chinese officials issued “strong reminders” about safety protocols at their bio-hazardous labs shortly after the start of the pandemic, one begins to suspect that there may be some substance to the theory that the virus escaped from a lab in Wuhan.
It is little wonder that the CCP is trying to blame America for this virus. If it can be proven that the virus escaped a lab in Wuhan, the condemnation of the world will descend on China. It would undoubtedly lead to unrest and riots in China. Oh that’s right, there are already riots going on.
Why isn’t the MSM in this country bringing sunlight to bear on this issue? This is potentially a very real story that is having very real global consequences. One would think that a real journalist would chomp at the bit to dig into a story like this.
The story they are trying to distract us away from is the origins of the virus. That would be an explosive story that would dominate the news cycle for awhile. The Democrats cannot have that happen. It would distract the public from their campaign to undermine the President. That’s why we have all the caterwauling about the health care system collapsing (It isn’t). That is why we have stories every day about the number of deaths in this country attributed to COVID-19. Currently the total is just under 6,000, about equal to two days worth of abortions in this country.
