In what may be a preview of things to come across the country, a judge at Chicago’s Daley Center took away a mother’s parental rights involving her 11-year-old son because she was not vaccinated.
On August 10th, Rebecca Firlit appeared in court along with her ex-husband for a child support hearing. The two have been divorced for seven years and share custody and parenting time.
Completely out the context of anything that was being argued before him, Judge James Shapiro asked Firlit if she had been vaccinated. Firlit told Shapiro she had not because she has had bad reactions to vaccines in the past. Shapiro then ordered that Firlit be stripped of all parenting time with her son until she gets vaccinated.
This is insane. This is the jack boot of the government trying to force people to take an experimental medicine. This violates the Nuremburg Conventions as well as US law.
Annette Fernholz, Firlit’s attorney, says the judge has overstepped his authority.
“In this case you have a judge, without any matter before him regarding the parenting time with the child deciding ‘Oh, you’re not vaccinated. You don’t get to see your child until you are vaccinated.’ That kind of exceeds his jurisdiction.”
Kind of exceeds his jurisdiction? I understand that this attorney is arguing a case before this judge. However, that is the understatement of the year. What risk is there to the child in question? It now appears that being vaccinated may lead to more severe outcomes if one contracts COVID. So, should the father, who is vaccinated, be denied custody and parenting time because of this? The whole idea is ridiculous.
The father in this case displayed his “woke” credentials when his attorney said that, while surprised, they agreed with the judge’s decision. According to Jeffrey Levine, the father’s attorney, the child should be protected from an unvaccinated mother.
The attorney left all science outside the courtroom and ratcheted up the emotional response.
“There are children who have died because of COVID. I think every child should be safe. And I agree that the mother should be vaccinated.”
I wonder what the attorney’s and the father’s views on “safe” abortions are?
The Chief Judge, one Tim Evans, has been “unavailable for comment.”
Of course, this is Chicago so one should not be surprised that such an action would take place there. This is the ancestral home of the Obama machine. Totalitarianism is their middle name. Obamacare is just one example of this.
How long will it be before other despots in black robes try this kind of nonsense?
