We have heard for years about how PDJT was Putin’s puppet. PDJT was doing Putin’s bidding. Now it turns out that Senator Chuck Schumer (D-NY), the current majority leader of the US Senate, was actually Putin’s puppet.
Back in 2020, Schumer boasted about stripping funding from the stimulus bill for filling the Strategic Petroleum Reserve (SPR). Turns out, Schumer’s midnight theft amounted to a bailout for OPEC and Russia, and a dagger to the heart of American energy independence.
And no player on the world’s stage is more pleased at this than Vladimir Putin.
Schumer’s Big Lie was that SPR funding was an expensive bailout for “Big Oil.” SPR funding was neither expensive, nor a bailout, nor aimed at Big Oil. The reserve could have been receiving oil at the cost of $24 per barrel.
The solicitation for bids to fill the SPR was restricted to small businesses who were domestic producers of oil and gas. No company with more than 5,000 employees was allowed to bid on the contract.
Once the government-caused economic slowdown was over, oil prices would have gone back up to $45-50, per barrel. Once they did, the government could have recouped the entire cost by selling just over a third of what they bought. That was not a bailout. Chuck Schumer put the kibosh on the deal.
Chuck Schumer gave OPEC the greatest gift they have had in more than a decade. He did it with his eyes wide open, proving that he’s not on the side of American strength, American independence, and American jobs. In the dead of night, he threw all of those away, and bailed out Russia and the OPEC cartel, leaving millions of Americans holding the bag. And he’s proud of it.
So, just who was Putin’s puppet? Should an investigation be started to see just who benefitted from this betrayal of the American public?
