A group of mayors from sanctuary cities (specifically NYC, Chicago, LA, Denver and Houston) are requesting that all US taxpayers support them as they try to cope with the impact of mass illegal alien arrivals.
They publicized themselves as being great humanitarians standing up for the downtrodden. They interfered with attempts by federal officers from deporting such illegal aliens. Many of those who were “saved” from deportation went on to commit crimes including murder and rape. Their virtue signaling has created a surge in crime.
Despite all this, they want all US taxpayers to pay to allow them to present themselves as glorious angels protecting the vulnerable when they know that the truth is the opposite. These mayors want to enable a corrupt system to keep functioning. They want to take jobs away from Americans and to destroy the American middle class. Succeeding in this will make more people dependent on the government and therefore easier to control.
These mayors are discovering that there is not an unlimited source of funding. Municipal services are being affected when funds must be shifted to meet the needs of people who should have been deported when they crossed the border. This is another grift created to fleece money from the US taxpayer.
Most of the people arriving are not here looking for a better life. They have arrived with their hand out saying gimme. These people who broke our laws are being treated better than our own citizens. It’s infuriating.
I have a few ideas on how to handle this problem. Let’s start with NYC. I understand that there is 470,000 square feet of usable space in the UN Plaza. Let the UN know that, since these are foreign nationals, they will be housed there. Food should come from the UN’s budget. I think this would be a major help to Mayor Adams’ problems in NYC.
In Denver, Empower Field, the home of the Denver Broncos, could be turned into a tent city for the illegal aliens. Allow the fans to help out by contributing money for food for these people. I am certain that the Broncos and their fans would understand the need to sacrifice to empower the downtrodden that their mayor has been so anxious to help.
I am certain that there are similar government owned venues in the other cities that could be repurposed to provide shelter and food. Those who come out to support the downtrodden with their protests (think pro-Hamas, for example) could chip in to pay for the food that is needed for these people. In fact, perhaps a fee for protesting could be a first step in that direction.
None of these s**thole cities deserve one dime of federal taxpayer money. They declared themselves sanctuary cities, let them live with the results. That they do deserve.
