What is the effect of the Supreme Court vacating an injunction from the 5th Circuit? This is something that has been mentioned elsewhere. It gave the Federal Government permission to cut Texas’ border wire in Shelby Park in Eagle Pass, TX. That’s it. Nothing more, nothing less.
Did it grant the Federal Government access to the park in question? No. And, in fact, the Texas Military Department (Texas has a Military department?) has prevented the feds from getting into the park. What the legal basis of that is is unclear. However, nothing in the order from SCOTUS gives the feds access to the park.
Some errata.
Most of the citizens in Eagle Pass support the governor’s position. They are tired of all the problems associated with the illegal entry that has been taking place there. Some have pointed out that with Shelby Park closed to illegal aliens entering there, border patrol agents can now actually patrol the border.
Eagle Pass, TX: Regardless of how you see the battle over Shelby Park, local residents are supportive of @GovAbbott.
The few immigrants who are making it to the border are finding it harder to cross and turn themselves in to Border Patrol.

Of course, the cartels who are running these operations have already shifted focus to other areas since they see difficulties in Eagle Pass regardless of the outcome of the court cases.
There is a legal point of entry right next to Shelby Park. I wonder why they don’t want to go through a legal point of entry. /s
