The supposedly socialist country of Finland has announced it will open 300 more shooting ranges— increasing the number to around 1,000—to encourage citizens to take a greater interest in national defense.
The Telegraph reports that “A member of Finland’s defense committee said the move would help Finns improve their shooting skills in the face of increased threats from Russia. Under the Finnish constitution, every male aged between 18 and 60 must complete national army service but the government hopes that civilians will keep their weapons skills after the period of conscription with the new range proposals.”
Meanwhile, in the actual socialist state of California, Assembly Member Mike Gipson (D, of course) would force insurance companies to provide lawmakers with an annual report highlighting homeowners with guns in their residence.
So, what we have here is a supposedly socialist country that understands that self- defense is the bedrock of freedom, while a supposedly “democratic” state—the Republic of California—in the U.S. wants to make sure you will never be able to defend yourself with a gun.
I will leave you to make your own judgment regarding what that says about the state America finds itself in.
America is headed down the slope to totalitarianism. We have such a government in Washington today. The so-called Tik Tok ban is just another effort to impose more controls over speech and freedom. This would allow the government to amass and abuse their power more.
How do we recover the country we once had?
