The Senate Select Committee on Intelligence (SSCI) is essentially blaming Tulsi Gabbard for the slow schedule for her confirmation as Director of National Intelligence (DNI). The supposed reason? Gabbard did not submit her question survey to the SSCI. Of course, the SSCI had never sent Gabbard the questionnaire for her to complete.
The long knives failed on Kash Patel. They failed on RFK, Jr. They failed on Pete Hegseth. Now they are after Tulsi Gabbard. They are using one Mouaz Moustafa to try to derail Gabbard’s nomination.
Mouaz Moustafa works as an operative on behalf of the Muslim Brotherhood (political Islam). Moustafa works in the sphere of influence where former Senator John McCain, Adam Kinzinger and certain CIA operatives worked. Moustafa supports radical Islam as represented by various factions of extremism under the umbrella of the Muslim Brotherhood.
Politico is using this person as an interview source to create a wrap-up smear of Gabbard. The term wrap-up smear gained notoriety when Nancy Pelosi described its workings for the Democrats some years back.
According to Politico, Moustafa has spoken with Gabbard or been in meetings with her several times, and he was struck by Gabbard’s lack of outrage at Assad’s supposed atrocities. Alexa Henning, a Trump transition spokesperson, rejected Moustafa’s charges. Henning said Gabbard has referred to Assad as a “brutal dictator” and noted that families of hostages held by terrorists in Syria had written a letter supporting her nomination.
One can clearly see the tactic being used here. As Pelosi noted years ago, one makes up a narrative and then gets the press to run stories about it. Once this happens, then the political opponents use these stories about a false event to try to cancel a person whom they do not like or agree with.
Henning noted:
“Lt. Col. Gabbard’s views have been shaped by her military service and multiple deployments to war zones where she’s seen the cost of war and who ultimately pays the price. She is 100 percent aligned with President Trump’s peace through strength, American First vision, which is why the American people overwhelmingly elected him president.”
Moustafa said that Gabbard is a security risk. He stated that he would withhold intelligence because he felt such intelligence would be shared with Russia. Moustafa theorized that other countries in the Five Eyes network would feel the same way. According to Politico, confirming Gabbard would be like putting a wolf in the hen house.
And there is the essence of the wrap-up smear. The country will be put at risk if an unhinged Gabbard is confirmed as DNI.
Perhaps this picture of Moustafa might put his statements in a different light.
MAGA people need to push back on this fantasy that Politico is trying to sell on behalf of the Deep State. This slow walking of her nomination is unacceptable. Let your Congress critters know that we are on to character assassination of Gabbard and that we are not happy about it. We will not be happy to see the will of the people negated by the SSCI.
And who was the last person to be Alinsky’d and lawfared by the Deep State?
