PDJT has issued an executive order (EO) removing DEI material and practices from the Federal Government. DEI is a cancer eating away at America. DEI says the opposite of what Martin Luther King, Jr espoused for America. That being that people should be judged by the content of their character and not by the color of their skin. DEI along with CRT proclaims just the opposite. The color of your skin is the most important characteristic to judge a person by. Ability and merit are a distant second to that. DEI is just a new form of discrimination.
Because of the EO, the military services have had to review their training material. Some yahoo over on the Air Force side decided to sabotage this effort by removing a training block that included the Tuskegee airmen and their exploits. This was this yahoo engaging in the lowest form of political theatrics. Entrenched people in the federal government who do not agree with the commander-in-chief are engaged in malicious compliance. One saw this over and over during PDJT’s first term.
The low-information voters on the Left immediately seized upon this as evidence of racism by PDJT. Most of these people do not realize just how ridiculous this is. PDJT values excellence and the Tuskegee airmen were in a class by themselves.
The Tuskegee Airmen were the first and only Black airmen to fly in World War II, during a time when the U.S. military was segregated and opportunities for Black troops were limited. They were exceptionally skilled pilots, who flew distinctive red-tailed P-47 Thunderbolt and P-51 Mustang fighters over Europe, becoming known in the process as some of the best bomber escorts in the Army Air Forces. Their combat record was so successful that it helped prompt the newly formed Air Force, and eventually the entire military, to desegregate in the years following World War II.
PDJT during his first term had elevated the story of the Tuskegee airman. President Trump promoted one of the last surviving Tuskegee Airmen, Charles McGee, who was 100 at the time, to brigadier general and honored him as a guest during the 2020 State of the Union. Hours earlier, Trump pinned a brigadier general star on McGee’s right shoulder in an Oval Office ceremony.
The decision to pull this training module was immediately reversed by Pete Hegseth. One can be sure that whoever made the initial decision that these history videos needed to be pulled for assessment will explain the thought process to Hegseth in the near future.
Malicious compliance disappears under full sunlight. Whereas in the past, the media might have gotten away with promoting such a false narrative at least for a while, that is not happening now. Most people know enough to question narratives being built by Big Media who are little more than PR arms of the UniParty in Washington.
