As many people know, Ukraine is one of the most notorious money laundering centers in the world. This was well known long before Russia decided to invade Ukraine. Since the war started, “aid” money sent to Ukraine has often had a significant amount that appeared to be diverted before it could be put to its intended uses.
Was one of these “diversions” stopped in Hungary a few days ago?
Hungary intercepted two Ukraine vans carrying $40 million in cash dollars, €35 million in cash Euros, and 9 kg of gold – presumably a money laundering transfer intended to fund Zelenskyy and his intelligence chiefs.
🚨 Watch the moment the “Ukrainian gold convoy” was stopped.

Hungarian Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó stated:
Hungary’s National Tax and Customs Administration confirmed Friday that it had detained the Ukrainian citizens and seized the two armored cash-transport vehicles. It added it was conducting criminal proceedings on suspicion of money laundering. {LINK}
Since then, the seven Ukrainian nationals have been expelled from the country.
Of course, Ukrainian officials protested the arrests and the seizure of the money and gold. Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha said this was “part of a routine banking operation” when Hungarian authorities stopped the convoy in Budapest.
Hmm. It is “routine” to transport tens of millions dollars and Euros through another country? It would seem that a digital transfer of such moneys would be quicker and safer. Of course, then there would be a digital trail for such money. Perhaps Mrs. Zelenskyy would then be unable to spend an afternoon in Paris spending tens of thousands of Euros on a shopping spree.
Zelenskyy had a meltdown deciding to threaten Victor Orban of Hungary with assassination.
President @ZelenskyyUa‘s threats are not about me. He is threatening Hungary.
Unfortunately for him, he cannot stop me from protecting Hungarian families. 🇭🇺🇭🇺🇭🇺 pic.twitter.com/7bPSeBjexn

This drew a rare rebuke from the EU.
“Specifically in relation to the comments made by President Zelenskyy, we are very clear as the European Commission that that type of language is not acceptable. There must not be threats against EU member states,” Commission deputy chief spokesperson Olof Gill told reporters Friday, in a rare condemnation of the leader in Kyiv.
Of course, there is a bigger story behind all of this. Hungary has opposed more money for Ukraine and also is against Ukraine joining the EU. This pissed off Zelenskyy who decided to bomb the pipeline that supplies oil to Hungary. Zelenskyy thinks this will cause Orban to lose the election coming up in May.
But the people know what is going on. It also does not help that Ukrainian leadership are pulling Hungarians off the streets in Transvista and sending them to the front to die for Ukraine. Zelenskyy is losing what support he once had through his corruption and refusing to end the war and concede the eastern oblasts to Russia.
Are Zelenskyy’s maniacal outbursts evidence that he knows his time at the top in Ukraine is nearing an end? Does Zelenskyy see the cash spigot that he and his top people had gorged themselves on coming to an end? Zelenskky’s prominence in the news cycle has certainly diminished with all the other things going on in the world.
