Build The Case

A formal impeachment inquiry into Joe Biden is now underway.  The House now has subpoena power that did not exist before the vote.

Earlier this month House Speaker Johnson said a vote on a formal Biden impeachment inquiry is a “necessary step” after the Biden White House stonewalled congressional investigators.

House Republicans Vote to Open Impeachment Inquiry

Comments Off on House Republicans Vote to Open Impeachment Inquiry

All 221 House Republicans voted to open a formal impeachment inquiry into Joe Biden.  The vote was along party lines: 221-212.

“We think a formal vote of the majority of the House, on record, for a power that solely resides with the House — that helps us if, in fact, we’ve got to go to court,” Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan of Ohio, one of the GOP leaders in the impeachment push, told reporters Tuesday. “Hopefully, just passing it in and of itself is enough to say, ‘OK, guys, come in and talk to us.’”

Biden Belches Baloney

On Wednesday the senile one who sometimes sleeps in the White House threatened U.S. troop engagement with Russian troops if Congress doesn’t provide further funding for Ukraine.  The nonsense being pushed is that failing to fund the continuance of the Ukraine war means that Russia will invade a NATO country.

A note from Rep. Ralph Norman (R-SC) on the current budget process.

Quick update this Tuesday morning from Washington. As many of you know, Congress is once again up against a deadline to pass legislation funding the federal government’s discretionary spending.

Gaetz Gets It

Comments Off on Gaetz Gets It

Florida Congressman Matt Gaetz delivered a resoundingly honest speech to the Republican attendees at the Florida Freedom Summit on Saturday.   It is well worth the time to watch, as prompted.

Gaetz’s brutal confrontation of the GOPe headlines some of the funniest and best components of the BIG UGLY so far.   Gaetz has been put through the wringer, bombarded from every angle, smeared by both the left and right and elements of the DOJ, and yet he’s still standing.  Not only that but he is still delivering brutal one-liners to their faces.

Odds & Ends

Crypto conman Sam Bankman-Fried has been found guilty of fraud and conspiracy. The evidence was overwhelming and the three former executives who worked side by side with him testified against him.  It took the jury just over four hours to render guilty verdicts on all seven counts.

Of course, with all the friends he had among elite politicians this may have been a surprise to Bankman-Fried.  However, Bankman-Fried was expendable by the Democrats once the money laundering operation started to dry up after the 2022 election.

Bankman-Fried is the fall guy.  I wonder just what he knows about the inner machinations of the money laundering operations that shovel money to politicians.

What is his life expectancy now?

White Smoke

      Comments Off on White Smoke

It was a tradition in the Catholic Church that, when a new Pope had been elected, white smoke would emanate from the Vatican.  It did not matter how long such a process took.  It did not matter how many votes were needed.  It was over when white smoke was seen.

Recently Candace Owens gave a speech at the University at Albany.  Owens was taking part in Turning Point USA’s Live Free Tour.  During the question-and-answer portion of the program, one student asked: “What do you have to say to the trans students on this campus who feel actively victimized by your presence here?”

Anger

      Comments Off on Anger

Thoughts that echo through an idle mind.

Speaker Pro Tempore of the House Patrick McHenry was visibly furious over the ouster of Kevin McCarthy as Speaker.  Was this because Pelosi and Steny Hoyer had promised to protect the Speakership if it was challenged?

Where was this anger when J6 defendants were and are still being railroaded by Biden’s weaponized DOJ?  Did McHenry ever speak out forcefully about this maladministration of justice?
