Will French President Macron survive? France is not Venezuela yet. But, civil unrest continues to be a problem in parts of the country. And the French have a history of overthrowing their rulers and re-writing their constitutions. Since 1789 they have removed three kings, two emperors, and several presidents. During that period of time the country has had 15 constitutions.
Will the problems in France turn into a full-scale revolt? When Paris has fires in the streets, the smashing of shop windows, looting and stealing, cars set ablaze and graffiti on public buildings including the Arc de Triumphe, can other cities in Europe be safe from such actions? As noted yesterday, other countries in Europe are getting nervous about what is happening in France. Many have seen various signs of unrest in their citizens in the form of populist movements.
Macron is a politician who tapped into unrest in the common man and who won election thanks to the help of globalist factions. In a speech in November, Macron called nationalism the “betrayer of patriotism.” In other words if you believe in your country, you are not patriotic. You are the harbinger of chaos and death. Clearly his speech was aimed at places like Great Britain, Poland, Hungary and Italy.
The common Frenchman has had enough of the overbearing government in their lives. While Macron has attempted to institute reforms to make France a better place for business, his attempt to squeeze blood out of a turnip via the fuel tax has undermined what he hoped to accomplish. It seems likely that the calls for his resignation will only get louder.
