Breaking News…On a day when the new Attorney General William Barr was confirmed and sworn in, It has been reported on multiple news outlets that Andrew McCabe and others at the FBI and DOJ plotted to remove PDJT from office in May 0f 2017.  This info appears to have come from a 60 Minutes interview of Andrew McCabe with Scott Pelley.  This is reported to have occurred during the period of time between the firing of the “holier than thou” FBI Director James Comey and the appointment of Special Counsel Robert Mueller by Rod Rosenstein.

Reports indicate that there were meetings at DOJ discussing whether the Vice President and a majority of the cabinet could be brought together to remove the president of the United States under the 25th Amendment.  The reasons given were PDJT’s firing of James Comey and the fact that supposedly PDJT was soft on Russia.

In his interview McCabe said that Rosenstein offered multiple times to wear a wire during his meetings with the President.  McCabe tries to make the case that he was a patriot protecting America.  This follows the theme of his book, The Threat.

The only problem with this statement is that he knows the Russia investigation was BS.  It was based on the unverified contents of the Steele Dossier that had been bought and paid for by the Clinton campaign.  I guess, with his appearance on CBS, he is hoping to influence people’s thinking that he was just a good guy doing his job.

There are multiple problems with this narrative not the least of which is the devastating IG report on him that led a recommendation by the office of professional accountability of the DOJ that he be fired.  This, of course, occurred when AG Jeff Sessions acted on this recommendation.

The reality is that he and others were plotting a coup to overturn the results of the 2016 election.  The Conservative Review reports:

This confirms that top bureaucrats from the previous administration plotted to remove the duly elected president of the United States.  McCabe probably has the most legal exposure to criminal charges.  Thus, the advertising of the interview from 60 Minutes on the day a new AG is sworn in.  Is the plotters’ control over obfuscating the public slipping with a new AG?  Are Mueller’s days numbered as Special Counsel?

For almost two years the holdover career political elements within the DOJ and FBI have been covering up the corruption about the 2016 election.  By all measures they have been quite effective so far.  The McCabe team forced the recusal of Jeff Sessions and created the Mueller investigation as a political shield to cover up their malfeasance. This is all about self-preservation.

Why CBS?  Keep in mind that the actions by the corrupt McCabe team, both before and after the election, were in alignment with the political agenda of the Obama White House.  And Obama had turned the DOJ and FBI into political weapons.  CBS certainly hasn’t reported that.  CBS has a long history of protecting the Obama White House from scrutiny about this and other scandals. CBS appears to be continuing their support of the Obama White House with this 60 Minutes broadcast.

What will happen going forward?  I am sure we will see more misdirection and obfuscation from those with the most exposure to legal liability.  They will probably try to paint any legal proceedings as baseless and as retaliation by the White House and an AG acting on behalf of the President.

Senator Lindsay Graham appears not to be taken in by all of this.

I still wouldn’t hold my breath that there will be significant legal liability imposed on anyone.  They have been too successful at covering their tracks so far.  The only real hope is that someone from inside the plot will “do the right thing.” With the money that most of these people are receiving from book deals, etc., that is not likely.
