Parker Mankey, a radical liberal activist who dons an outlandish black Mohawk, attempted to shame and harass an elderly man wearing a MAGA hat at a Palo Alto Starbucks last week.
She posted about her encounter with a 74-year-old Jewish man at the local Starbucks on Monday, describing how she verbally berated the senior citizen and forced him to leave the establishment.
The gentleman who regularly visits the Starbucks in question was sitting quietly by himself when Mankey started her tirade. What was his crime? Wearing a red “Make America Great Again” hat.
Mankey called the man a racist, a Nazi. She vowed she “would destroy him.” She tried to get other patrons to join her in screaming at the man, harassing him. Eventually the man left after complaining to Starbucks management about her.
This is just one of many examples of the intolerance of progressives. The fact is there’s an “atmosphere of fear” in different places around the country over identifying oneself as a conservative or a Trump supporter.
This kind of screed is the logical conclusion of Democrats who exhort their followers to confront conservatives everywhere, to harass them in public, to harass them in their homes.
Everyone remembers Maxine Waters (D-CA) haranguing a crowd saying
“Let’s make sure we show up wherever we have to show up. And if you see anybody from that Cabinet in a restaurant, in a department store, at a gasoline station, you get out and you create a crowd. And you push back on them. And you tell them they’re not welcome anymore, anywhere.”
Of course, this was absolutely insane. Waters was saying that people who work for the President should be ambushed when they go out in public and they should be harassed in their homes.
Mankey was just following Waters’ instructions. She believes that she is justified in expressing her hatred and in harassing the man. In fact, she believes not only that she was justified but, that she was being virtuous in her actions. Hatred has become a virtue in her mind.
Mankey was surprised that others in a “full” Starbucks did not join her and form a mob in attempting to chase the man out of the store, in signaling to the world that a man she did not know was not worthy of some respect as a human being. This is Trump Derangement Syndrome at a dangerous level. When one equates a red hat with the hoods of the Ku Klux Klan, one is seriously deranged. This level of derangement has led to people being assaulted in different places around the country.
In a very real sense this is no different that the venom that was visited on the Covington HS boys in Washington. The MSM ran with a story that fit their narrative of identity politics. Supposedly a “privileged” group of boys from a Catholic HS were harassing an elderly Native American. Nothing could have been further from the truth. However, there was a narrative to be sown that white people will always oppress people from other races and ethnicities so the MSM constructed a fake story. Again what was the trigger for the Native American activist to harass the boys? A red MAGA hat.
These people are dangerous. Somehow the reality of their depravity must be exposed for all to see and understand.
In this case perhaps a first step has been taken in letting people know that such egregious conduct has consequences. Parker Mankey has been fired from her accounting job. I’ll bet that after Jussie Smollett got away with his escapade in Chicago, this may have surprised Mankey. One can only hope that there will be more such actions in the future.
