Christianity Under Siege

The Democrats’ anti-Christian bias was on display again.

Without a doubt Christianity is the most persecuted religion worldwide including in this country.  Christians expressing their beliefs are attacked in this country as being “bitter clingers,” racists, homophobes and worse simply for expressing their beliefs.

On Sunday a series of horrific attacks killed almost 300 people in Sri Lanka and injured hundreds more.  It was the biggest mass terrorist attack in a long time.  A radical Islamic religious group has been identified as perpetrating the coordinated attacks.  The vast majority of the victims were Christians attending church services on Easter Sunday morning.  They were targeted because they are Christians.

When the attack occurred recently  in Christchurch, New Zealand, where 50 Muslims were killed, the messages that were sent by both Democrats and Republicans identified the religious background of the victims.  The Democrats avoided using the word Christian on Sunday.

The Left has a love affair with Muslims at this point in time.  During President Obama’s administration the Left felt empowered to shame, smear and denigrate anyone who pointed to Islam as having less than desirable qualities.  President Obama himself could not say the words Islamic terrorism together in a sentence.

Recently Rep. Omar (D-MN) referred to the 9/11 terrorists as “some people who did something.”  However, she had no problem identifying a “white nationalist” as the killer of “Muslims” in Christchurch.

To admit that Muslims engage in terrorist attacks might endanger their victimhood status that has been perpetrated in this country.  The Democrats have consistently enabled such victimhood messaging.  So, on Sunday Democrats could not find it in themselves to say the word Christians in their messages.  This started with former President Obama himself.  The victims were “Easter worshippers.”

Now one might think that the usually smoothly articulate, former President just stumbled in his choice of words.  But, right on cue, Hillary Clinton chimed in with similar wording.

And it went on and on.  Adam Schiff, leader of the fake Russian collusion narrative in the House, tweeted:

Pacific Pundit has a much longer list containing even more Democrats who were doing it here.  The term “Easter worshippers” was used over and over.

Now, there is no doubt that the victims were targeted because they were Christians.  So, why do the Democrats have such a problem identifying this?

Monica Showalter opined,

“What was almost certainly going on was a bid to deny Christians their identity, because Christianity is embarrassing to them.  For them to have to admit that Christians are being specially singled out for killings by Muslim terrorists is a bridge too far for these establishment Democrats who thrive on Muslims being the ‘real victims’ in whatever ‘something’ that ‘some people did’ and might force them to admit they were wrong all along about the religiously motivated warfare of the Islamist terrorists.  Admitting that has too much political cost for them, given that their mission now is to prop up local Islamist political crazies such as Rep. Ilhan Omar, who can’t be criticized for any reason.”

Monica gets no argument from me.

A question for the Democrats…When are you going to end using this victimhood crap as part of your messaging and decide to rejoin the human race?
