Are You Kidding Me?

Former Vice President Joe Biden made it official on Thursday.  Once again he has thrown his hat into the ring for President of the United States.  This will be the third time that he has tried.  The long-anticipated announcement came at a train station in Wilmington, Delaware.  This came after he was rebuffed by Charlottesville VA for his launch point.

Is Joe Biden the Jeb Bush of this campaign?  Bush was the “chosen one” of the RNC in 2016.  Is Biden the one the Democratic elite want as their standard bearer? Right now the jury is out.  The DNC Club may be waiting to see if Biden can generate the kind of groundswell support that would give the Dems a realistic chance of recapturing the Presidency.  For sure they do not want Bernie Sanders as their candidate.

In his campaign launch video Biden explained his reason for running.  Now many candidates will use hyperbole that may appeal to the fringe elements of their party when they jump into the fray so to speak.  Biden took a different tack.  He launched his campaign by lying outright about PDJT’s remarks in the aftermath of the Charlottesville tragedy.  In the campaign video Biden says

“He said there were quote ‘‘Some very fine people on both sides.’ Very fine people on both sides? With those words the president of the United States assigned a moral equivalence between those spreading hate and those with the courage to stand against it. And in that moment I knew the threat to this nation was unlike any other I’d seen in my lifetime.”

The President never assigned a moral equivalence between those spreading hate and those standing up to it.  This is a hateful hoax that has been rebuffed over and over.  PDJT was quite clear about distinguishing between good people disagreeing about removing a statue and renaming a park and “bad people” like Antifa, BLM and the white supremacists.

PDJT went on to condemn the “bad people.”

Biden got blasted by both sides of the aisle.

Biden appears to be following the mantra that bald-faced lies are a badge of honor if you use them to try to get elected.  This is right out of the Saul Alinsky playbook.  And, of course, the fact checkers of the MSM who are quick to identify even the slightest misstatement by PDJT are nowhere to be found.

Are you kidding me?  When was the last time that a candidate for President launched his/her campaign with an out-and-out falsehood?
