The Democratic meltdown continues. The basic problem that the Democrats have is this. Obama administration officials used the FBI, the NSA, the CIA, and other national security organs to spy on a rival campaign and then undermine an elected president. Interviews are being done around the country to try to obfuscate this fact.
On Saturday former FBI Director James Comey went on radio in LA and tried to make the case once again that the Russians won the election for Trump. If there were an annual award for the most fake news items in one interview, Comey would be in the running.
But the president of the United States refuses to acknowledge that the Russians attacked us.
No President in recent memory has imposed more sanctions on Russia than PDJT.
After the above statement Comey tried to say that PDJT said that Russian interference in the 2016 election was a hoax. PDJT said no such thing during his call with Putin. What was a hoax was the “fact” that the Trump campaign colluded with the Russians to win the election.
Comey tried to say there was “massive interference” by the Russians so the FBI was justified in undertaking a counter-intelligence operation. Comey gave no basis for such a claim. It sounds like he is trying out a defense strategy for any upcoming legal difficulties he might face.
Comey went on like this for more than 30 minutes.
One thing that he did say that was accurate was
“We always get our act together, our values are too strong, there’s a ballast in this country and the great middle of this country wakes up when those values are threatened, and always responds and we resume our upward march.”
Of course, that train has already left the station with the election of PDJT. Apparently Comey is still insulated within the bubble that surrounds many Washington DC elite and does not realize this.
Comey writes in his book
“We are experiencing a dangerous time in our country with a political environment where basic facts are disputed, fundamental truth is questioned, lying is normalized and unethical behavior is ignored, excused or rewarded.”
His accuracy in describing what the Democrats have been doing is uncanny. Once again the guilty are projecting their own faults on others.
However, PDJT may not be the person with the biggest target on his back right now. That dubious distinction probably belongs to William Barr, the new Attorney General. The Democrats and their allies in the Obama administration cannot afford to have their plot against PDJT exposed. They need to smear, denigrate and otherwise denounce Barr in the eyes of the public. The Democrats have to make him into Trump’s puppet if they have any hope of keeping the plot from being headline news.
Their first step in this process has been to say that Barr “lied” to Congress. Sen. Maxie Hirono (D-HI) accused him of this during the Senate hearings on Wednesday. Hirono called for his resignation along with other Democrats on the committee. Speaker Pelosi followed up with
Of course, this is all in the fake news category. The Justice Department quickly hit back at Pelosi.
“Speaker Pelosi’s baseless attack on the attorney general is reckless, irresponsible and false.”
