Thursday was an interesting day. Over in Italy it is reported that Prime Minister Giuseppe Conté has requested the resignations of six top Italian intelligence officials. The resignation requests are being interpreted as a reaction to the possible exposing of collusion with U.S. intelligence officials during the 2016 U.S. election in the operation now known as “Spygate.”
Keep in mind that Conté is the head of a new government, one that was not in place in 2016. Also keep in mind that Joseph Mifsud, who had largely disappeared from public view, had been found in Rome. Mifsud is closely linked to George Papadopoulos and the “Spygate” schemes that were hatched overseas.
If Italy is now “cleaning house” because of the illicit activities of their intelligence agencies, one has to wonder what prompted them to do so now. One of the steps in declassifying documents in America is to notify a friendly foreign government if such declassification will impact their government. Has PDJT begun the process of declassifying some of the documents related to this? If so, it would appear that Italy has decided to get out in front of this and clean up their mess before the documents are revealed to the public. What other governments might be next?
The reaction of the socialists in Italy was predictable as they argued against this action. They said it was a move to politicize the intelligence agencies and that Italy would be humiliated. Other non-socialists stated the obvious.
George Papadopoulos added his two cents.
Mifsud appears to have been part of the scheme to oust PDJT by setting up a Russian collusion narrative involving Papadopoulos.
This news item by itself is major news. That is, a foreign government announcing the “firing” of six of its top intelligence people.
However, it was not the only major breaking news item. On the home front Judge Sullivan, the judge presiding over the General Flynn case, ordered the DOJ and the FBI to produce transcripts of all voice recordings pertaining to Flynn and to also provide a DVD with the audio recordings by May 31, 2019.
Why is this important? It has long been suspected that the narrative presented by the FBI of the Flynn interview where Flynn supposedly lied to the FBI regarding his conversations with the Russian ambassador was false. Initially Flynn resisted any and all attempts to get him to plead to the charges presented (this included FARA violations) for a long time at considerable personal expense.
No transcript or audio recording of the conversation with the Russian ambassador that Flynn supposedly lied about has ever been made part of the court record in any form. It took three weeks for the two FBI agents to write up the interview in a manner that was acceptable to Andrew McCabe. Why so long? One might suspect as I think that Judge Sullivan does that they were composing a narrative to fit their needs
Judge Sullivan had been directly responsible for the most recent delay in sentencing. While no public statements have been made directly to the reasoning for this, it appears the Judge had strongly recommended that Flynn delay such activity because of Flynn’s legal exposure during the Mueller investigation. That investigation is now over.
What does the Judge suspect? It seems fairly clear that prosecutorial abuse is at the top of his list. Why?
The original order putting the Special Counsel in business was modified twice. The second modification (10/20/17), which was only learned of with the publication of the Mueller Report, added four names to the scope of the investigation and expanded the scope to include “jointly undertaken activity.” One of these names was Michael Flynn, Jr., General Flynn’s son. It was shortly after this that the General agreed to plead. It is strongly suspected that the SC office leveraged the potential investigation of the General’s son to achieve this. Flynn’ son had a four month old baby at home.
The level of corruption that appears to be here is blood boiling. There were a lot of reasons they needed Flynn out of the way and remaining silent. They would do anything to achieve this as part of their attempt to get rid of PDJT.
On cue the MSM (NBC News specifically) laid down a smokescreen to distract the public from both of these stories. According to the report Flynn supposedly accused “someone” on Capitol Hill of trying to obstruct the Mueller investigation. The Democrats are becoming more and more desperate. There does not seem to be anything they will not do to prevent the exposure of the coup attempt. Where this will end is anyone’s guess right now.
