HR 1, Nancy Pelosi’s 1st submission to the House in 2019, allows for ballot harvesting. What is ballot harvesting? Ballot harvesting is the collection and submission of absentee or mail-in ballots by people who are not the voters themselves. The indiscriminate use of this practice is outlawed in most states and developed countries. This is because of its susceptibility to election fraud.
California changed its rules before the 2018 election to allow persons other than close family members to collect and submit ballots. Large, last-minute submissions of votes in the election delayed results and altered the outcome of several elections from the outcome indicated by initial results. In all cases the elections were eventually won by Democrats. This reminds one of the old mayor of Chicago who used to ask, “How many votes do you need?”
In Orange County alone some 250,000 ballots were carried in and dropped off. People were bringing in stacks of ballots, in some cases hundreds at a time. What safeguards were in place to ensure the integrity of the vote? There were none. Was voter fraud involved here? You be the judge. How many of the millions of illegal aliens who live in California voted in these elections?
During and after the 2016 presidential election, PDJT asserted that wide-spread voter fraud had taken place. PDJT was widely ridiculed in the MSM and by elite Democrats for these assertions. However, political scientist Jesse Richman of Old Dominion University supported the President’s allegations. His research strongly suggested that more than 800,000 net votes from illegal aliens had been added to the totals for HRC. Did this make the electoral vote count closer than it should have been? Was Trump’s victory bigger than reported? It is certainly possible that more states went into HRC’s column than would have if illegal aliens had been prevented from voting. Of course, a scientist who challenges the left’s dogmas will be blackballed.
All of this happened without the kind of ballot harvesting that took place in California in 2018. What would happen if this practice is exported to the rest of the country? Would there ever be a fair election again? Would America’s elections descend to third-world status?
Ballot harvesting was involved in allegations related to a 2018 U.S. House election in North Carolina (NC09). The practice is illegal in North Carolina. The state allows only a family member or guardian to drop off a ballot. The ultimate result here was the ordering of a new election. This is how it should be. To allow the indiscriminate collection of such ballots is an open invitation to fraud.
DNC Chairman Tom Perez praised the North Carolina election board’s decision to throw out the results that had delivered a win for Republican Mark Harris. “Calling for a new election in #NC09 was the right decision,” Perez tweeted. “Americans shouldn’t have to wonder if their votes will be counted. We need to fight like hell to make sure this doesn’t happen again in #NC09 or anywhere else in our country.”
Perez has yet to voice his disapproval of the practice in California.
The Democrats want to override all state laws that prohibit this practice (including NC). They want to do this without putting any safeguards in place to prevent fraud. They want to extend this abhorrent practice to the whole country. Why? In order to win elections that they cannot win by debating the issues. They do all this under the disguise of allowing easier access to voting.
Some people forget we live in a free country where it is the right of everyone who meets the requirements to vote or not to vote. Not voting is a statement and a right. People should be responsible for their own votes. If they cannot take the time to do this, then they are choosing not to vote.
Why should partisan hacks be allowed to pick up ballots? This is another example of how HR 1 would trample the rights of Americans.
