The cognitive decline of Joe Biden continues in front of the whole country. Isn’t it time for someone Biden trusts to have the decency to sit him down and tell him to go home?
On Monday at the South Carolina Democratic Party’s First in the South Dinner Joe Biden asked for support for his run for the US Senate. Yes, that’s right. The US Senate.
“You’re the ones who sent Barack Obama the presidency. And I have a simple proposition here: I’m here to ask you for your help,” Biden said. “Where I come from, you don’t get far unless you ask.”
“My name’s Joe Biden. I’m a Democratic candidate for the United States Senate.”
Joe Biden: "My name is Joe Biden. I'm a Democratic candidate for the United States Senate…if you don't like me, you can vote for the other Biden."

Seconds after saying he was running for Senate, Biden sure made it sound like he was encouraging voters who don’t like him to “vote for the other Biden.”
Just who was he referring to? There are no other Biden’s running for office. Statements like this are becoming routine for Biden.
There was his statement about gun control last week. Biden said he would “do everything in my power … to get those clips that have multiple bullets in them not for sale, not be able to sell silencers.”
What? By their very definition gun magazines hold multiple bullets.
Then on Tuesday night at the debate in Charleston, SC, Biden claimed that 150 million people have been killed by guns since 2007.
150 million? That would be half the country.
Is Biden just going through the motions at this point? Was he ever a serious candidate or was his candidacy just an excuse to impeach PDJT about the investigation of corruption in Ukraine?
Biden was once the “frontrunner.” Much of that appears to have been the result of “specialized” media polling. Sanders support has not wavered even after his heart attack. Sanders was the likely frontrunner through all of this. Biden now trails Bernie Sanders by double digits in multiple national polls. Major donors are pulling their support.
Recent polls show that Biden still has a five-point lead in South Carolina over Bernie Sanders. Of course, that’s down from what was once a 31-point lead. Will that lead disappear entirely?
Recently Biden claimed to have been arrested in South Africa supporting Nelson Mandela. His campaign has now backed away from this story. This could be the last straw.
If I were a Democratic primary voter in South Carolina who was considering voting for Biden, why would I do that? Biden seems to be connected to reality only some of the time. I’d be very concerned about him being anywhere near the nuclear codes.
So sad.
