How Many Lives Did The President Save?

The media and the Democrats have continually abused the President on any decision he has made with regards to COVID-19.  Every article the media writes finds a way to refer to PDJT’s incompetence, ignorance, xenophobia, etc.  The President has remained strong and calm in his leadership.

Back in January when the virus in China began to grow out of control, PDJT made a decision to ban foreigners who had recently traveled in China from entering the country.  On Jan. 31, 2020, the Trump administration announced that foreign nationals who had traveled to China in the past 14 days would be denied entry into the United States.  This reduced the number of cases arriving from that hotspot of infection.

How many lives did this save?

At the time the decision was labeled as racist, overkill, xenophobic, etc.  The Democrats introduced legislation in the House to limit the President’s ability to ban travel.  Former Vice President Joe Biden accused Trump of xenophobia and the Washington Post said that Trump overreacted.  Others said that PDJT’s ban was driven by politics.

While it is undoubtedly true that PDJT has become skilled at the art of politics, it is also obvious to any objective observer that he will pursue what he believes to be the right course of action regardless of politics.  His “America First” agenda has pissed off many members of both political parties since it threatens the gravy train that many of them have been enjoying from the globalist approach to world governance.

To fully understand the President’s decision, Americans should know that PDJT went against the bureaucratic academic models that counseled against a travel ban.  At a House Homeland Security Committee hearing in March, acting Deputy Secretary of Homeland Security Ken Cuccinelli explained he had advised the president to ban travel from China even though “the academic model suggested not to do that.”

Medical experts now say that this decision slowed the spread of the virus and undoubtedly saved lives.  Most Americans agree.  It is easy to see this in hindsight.  It takes significant foresight to make such a decision.

This event highlights the fact that something reaching the President’s desk needing a decision is not just about bureaucratic models.  While such models are helpful, in the end a single person has to decide.  There are always factors present that are not quantifiable.  The person deciding has to weigh the intangibles not included in even the most detailed of models.

Do people make mistakes?  Yes.  But, this decision was not a mistake.  This decision saved lives.  How many?  Only God knows.

Despite this life-saving result, on March 11th Democratic Rep. Dina Titus of Nevada chastised the Trump administration for refusing to follow an academic model that would have increased the number of deaths.

So a Democratic member of the House calls the decision anti-intellectual and anti-science even though it clearly saved lives.  This just shows how deranged the Democrats have become.  It exposes once again that the Democrats and their allies in the media will do and say anything to get PDJT out of office.

When election day comes, Americans must see through the fog put out by these people. There is no way Joe Biden, Bernie Sanders, or any other potential Democratic president would have gone against the academic models’ conclusion to leave open travel from China. Ditto when it came to unilaterally cutting off travel from the EU.  These people are globalists first and foremost.
