I am sure that someone somewhere thinks that this briefing by Governor Gretchen Whitmer of Michigan makes sense. The problem? I have been unable to find that person yet.
Whitmer compared the COVID-19 battle to World War II. Whitmer then asked the citizens of her state why they did not protest state orders during the war.
“In World War II, there weren’t people lining up at the capitol to protest the fact that they had to drop everything they were doing and build planes or tanks, or to ration food.”
Does Whitmer know anything about World War II? During the war effort people were WORKING and getting paid. Under her leadership people are FORBIDDEN to work. Her decrees are arbitrary and capricious. If one is not working, then one is not earning a living. This is why people are protesting.
This is Orwellian. Whitmer is equating people working during WW II with people prohibited from working by her. Night is day. Good is evil.
Michigan is absolutely getting devastated by her idiotic lockdown edicts. Hospitals in the middle of the hotspot of Detroit are closing down. This woman is single-handedly putting healthcare workers out of work. How does this make any sense?
Keep in mind that somewhere, somehow, someone thinks that this lady would be a good running mate for Joe Biden. Finding a good running mate for Biden is a difficult task. The top of the ticket does not want to be overshadowed by someone down lower. This may be a good idea for Biden since it certainly appears Whitmer wouldn’t overshadow him. How did she ever get elected governor?
