In Washington State, Governor Jay Inslee (D) has decided to forcibly quarantine people if they refuse to be tested for the Wuhan coronavirus. Also, if one member of your household tests positive, or if you refuse to be tested, the entire family will be forcibly quarantined.
State Republican Rep. Matt Shea of the Spokane area in eastern Washington, explained in a video interview with The New American magazine that the camps are part of Democratic Gov. Jay Inslee’s policy of contract tracing, which has been implemented by many states.
He explained that the tracers visit people who may have been infected and advise them they can isolate at a center to protect other members of their household.
While the infected person may be asked to volunteer, the government makes it clear that people can be forcibly quarantined, Shea pointed out.
He read a line from a form that local health officers are to present to someone who is infected.
It says: “If you do not comply with this request for voluntary quarantine I may/will sign a detention order, enforced by the police, to ensure your compliance.”
This is hardly a voluntary quarantine if it is backed up by the police detention. This comes at a time when many states are successfully relaxing their shelter-in-place orders. Inslee did not say if they would weld the doors of your home shut as they did in China but he made it clear that they will keep you inside somehow.
This is communism. You will go outside only when the government allows you to. Your right to work will be determined by the government.
This has not gone over well in Washington. Thousands of disgruntled citizens who have been financially destroyed by Inslee’s statewide shutdown showed up in the state capitol of Olympia to protest last week. I wonder how many will be there on Friday during the grass roots Open Up America protests.
Another fascist shutdown dictator governor who gets a thrill out of destroying the lives of her constituents is Michigan’s Gretchen Whitmer (D). Whitmer is currently in active conversations with the Biden campaign about her possible nomination as his running mate. As a reminder, Whitmer is an Andrew Cuomo clone who signed an executive order to force nursing homes to accept patients who had active, Wuhan coronavirus infections – resulting in unnecessary casualties.
As Michigan residents continued to show up to protest in the state capitol over her arbitrary lockdowns and rules, Whitmer went on The View. Whitmer called the protesters racists, Nazis and misogynists. Most of the bobbleheads on The View agreed with her. One would think that the protesters were all white males who were card-carrying members of the KKK. That’s hardly the case.

The American people consented to a two-week shutdown back in March in order to brace our healthcare system for the coronavirus. It turns out that the models that the shutdown was based on were wildly and embarrassingly wrong. Except in a few places the healthcare system was underwhelmed with Chinese virus cases. Doctors and nurses were laid off. Some latitude has been granted by rational Americans since there were many unknowns back then. However, we didn’t vote on or consent to anything that’s been imposed on us since then.
I wonder what Lansing will look like on Friday.
