There is a lot of activity going on at the DOJ. Attorney General William Barr said Thursday that the DOJ has about 500 investigations underway across the country. These investigations are looking into acts of arson and destruction associated with the riots over the past several weeks. Dozens of indictments have already been presented.
Barr said,
“We’ve had scores of indictments so far for such things as arson, destruction of federal property. We have right now about 500 investigations underway, so it’s picking up pace. We are committed to holding accountable the people who engaged in this.”
Barr also noted something that has been obvious to anyone who has followed the destruction across the country. “State and local officials are not doing their jobs.”
Barr has previously issued a statement that said,
“It is time to stop watching the violence and to confront and stop it. The continued violence and destruction of property endangers the lives and livelihoods of others, and interferes with the rights of peaceful protestors, as well as all other citizens.”
Some citizens have heard him. There have been multiple reports recently of communities banding together successfully to stop the Antifa and BLM thugs from destroying their communities. It may be time for people in the urban centers to do the same.
