AOC (S-NY) obviously takes most Americans for fools. AOC must believe that, because she is a member of the House, that Americans will hang on her every word for insight and nuance. Recently AOC offered the following for the reason for the skyrocketing crime rate in NYC.

Scary, isn’t it? This is a product of our higher education system (Boston University). Murders, shootings, looting and mayhem are at levels not seen in NYC since before Rudy Giuliani was mayor. But, according to AOC, it is because some people need to pay their rent. Some people need to buy bread.
Let’s use AOC’s approach and let’s think about this. Does this explain a six-year-old girl seeing her father shot dead in front of her on a street in the Bronx? Warning the video is graphic.

Was the person who shot a one-year-old boy to death in his stroller at Raymond Bush Playground looking for bread? Does this explain the rapes and murders that have escalated during the month of June? Shootings in June in NYC are up more than 200% year over year.
This has nothing to do with the price of bread. AOC is attempting to deflect attention away from the real problem. AOC points out that the “defunding” of $1 billion dollars has not happened yet. AOC says this as if to imply that the problem is that the NYPD is not doing their job despite the oodles of money the department receives every year.
AOC does her best to not go anywhere near the real problem. It has everything to do Mayor De Blasio who has neutered the NYPD. Criminals may not be the brightest among us, but they are not stupid. They see the opportunity that De Blasio has presented them with the changes in the use of force as well as orders to stand down from specific types of crimes. This is little different from what has happened in California. A city that Rudy Giuliani had turned into one the safest and finest in the world is rapidly being destroyed by Mayor De Blasio and sycophants like AOC. De Blasio is too busy sucking up to BLM terrorists to notice.

Keep in mind that AOC is one of Joe Biden’s top campaign advisers. One can only guess at what kind of ridiculous nonsense she is pouring into the sieve that Joe Biden’s brain has become.
