In California one month after the Governor dictatorially ordered all state residents to wear masks in most settings, the average daily number of new coronavirus cases in the state has increased by over 160%. According to the governor’s order, there is “scientific evidence to suggest that use of cloth face coverings by the public during a pandemic could help reduce disease transmission.” Well at least it said “could” help. Clearly it has not.
Did this stop the governor from issuing more edicts that “could” help? No. The governor has now ordered “strong mask requirements” for all school staff as well as all students above the second grade.
This is ludicrous. Multiple studies under controlled conditions have shown that statistically significant benefit to wearing masks does not exist.
Newsome is a governor who does not want to relinquish the power he is wielding over the residents of his state. He is destroying the economy of his state over a virus that is less deadly than the flu.
It is time for a recall of another sitting governor in California.
