Get woke…Go broke. Maybe Goodyear was looking for that coveted Bubba Wallace endorsement.
Goodyear’s stock prices took a tumble this week when it was revealed that Goodyear was allegedly using a diversity training program to promote Black Lives Matter (BLM) and LGBT political activism while censoring other political messages.
Goodyear bans blue lives matter and all lives matter messages while allowing BLM and LGBT. We need to get #BoycottGoodyear trending. They need to overturn this discriminatory police, apologize for it, and apologize for their support of a violent Marxist organization. pic.twitter.com/MYfnbvsEPo

Now one can run one’s business is one sees fit. After all, this is supposed to be a free, capitalistic society. If you feel that such an approach is good for your business or signals your “wokeness,” you are entitled to do so. If such an approach results in running one’s business into the ground, then that was a bad business decision that was made. Goodyear seems to be moving to the terrible business decision side of the ledger.
In this case the left is having an aneurism because some people are calling for a boycott of Goodyear. The left claims this is hypocritical. People make decisions on what company to patronize for many different reasons. Community image is just one of them. Goodyear publicly supporting a violent criminal organization like BLM is a big turnoff for many people.
The violence by BLM and Antifa is off the charts. This violence is part of an active insurrection going on in the country. What these people did to Adam Haner in Portland on Sunday night is outrageous. I wonder how much money Goodyear has donated to BLM?
Goodyear tried to weasel word their way out of the mess they created. They claimed that the image in circulation “was not created or distributed by Goodyear corporate” and that Goodyear “has always wholeheartedly supported both equality and law enforcement and will continue to do so.”
“Not created or distributed by Goodyear Corporate.” So, they could not truthfully disavow that someone associated with or employed by Goodyear was responsible. They are trying to palm it off one some individual “rogue” employee or third party vendor. Many companies use third-party vendors to create some or all of their training programs.
Their response does not deny that Blue Lives Matter is a violation of company policy. It also does not deny that this was shown to company employees.
Goodyear said that they “ask that associates refrain from workplace expressions in support of political campaigning for any candidate or political party, as well as similar forms of advocacy that fall outside the scope of racial justice and equity issues.” This certainly raises red flags about what kind of censorship is going on at Goodyear. Who at Goodyear determines which political statements are allowed and which are not? Is Goodyear coercing their employees to vote for or against specific candidates or initiatives?
Again, Goodyear is entitled to run their business as they see fit within the law. However, we need to stop buying from companies that pander to anti-american, anti-civilization rioters. If they want to lie down with scum in the gutter, then so be it. But we do not have to lie down with them.
