It is long past time for Americans of every stripe to stand up and say “Not in our country!”  On Saturday evening in Compton, California, a cold-blooded hit job took place against two deputies sitting in their car in a well-lighted area.  The sheriff’s deputies were ambushed as they sat inside their patrol vehicle at the Metro Blue Line station at Willowbrook Ave. and Oak St. just before 7 p.m.

The attack was caught on video.

This was an ambush, plain and simple.  The deputies were rushed to a local hospital where protesters showed up and attempted to block the entrances and exits to the emergency room areas.  The protesters chanted, “We hope they die” according to information released by the sheriff’s office.  The crowd was ordered to disperse and arrests were made of non-compliant individuals including a member of the press who refused to obey officers’ orders.

Monica Showalter notes,

This is the violent, ugly face of the money-rich Black Lives Matter movement, which is anything but peaceful in its protests. The act done is attempted murder, with stated intent. It’s quite similar to the last thing this protest movement attempted to pull, setting a Portland courthouse on fire with people in it, same as the M-19 Marxist guerrillas of Colombia once did, teaming up with Pablo Escobar. Now they’re blocking hospital entries on critically wounded patients, which is another bid to kill.

Next time some leftist brings this up, it needs to be thrown in their faces. Next time a Democrat brings it up, such a clown needs to be called out. This kind of act is a monstrosity by any civilized standard. The perpetrators must be identified and arrested. No civilized society can carry on without it.

This is depravity on a level that is difficult to assess or understand.  And some of the comments circulating on Twitter display an absolute indifference to the lives of police officers.

“Life doesn’t matter to cops, so I am really not surprised cops don’t matter to people.”

“It ends when cops stop their BS!  This outcome was predictable.”

“Now they know what it’s like.”

“People are killing the roaming blue uniformed murderers terrorizing their communities.”

Some on Twitter were laughing at the deputies as they lay bleeding in the street.  This is insanity!  Has the country lost its moral center?  Some people have been brainwashed to believe that police are out hunting for black men to shoot.  They are aided and abetted in this belief by the incessant lying of the media.  And US Senators giving speeches about the “almost daily killing of unarmed black men” on the floor of the Senate contribute to this false narrative as well.

Law enforcement is characterized as the Gestapo or worse.  This image is promoted by Democratic politicians who not only refuse to support police in their legal enforcement actions but also embolden the extremists marauding through our cities by their silence and by refusing to allow the police to do their jobs.  Burning buildings, attacking law enforcement, looting, destroying the livelihoods of people and beating up anyone who dares to disagree with them are supposedly part of some noble cause.

Looting is wrong.  Burning buildings is wrong.  This so-called revolution is destroying the communities of blacks and other minorities in our urban centers.

Civil rights activist Bob Woodson said last week,

“We’re reaching really a level of depravity — when rioters in Portland are locking people in buildings and trying to burn it down and also people are cheering when a Trump supporter is shot to death — I’ve never seen that level of depravity before in this country.”

And Democratic politicians remain silent.  It appears that their strategy to win the White House includes allowing this kind of lawlessness to roam unabated across the country.

Frank Miele, a columnist for Real Clear Politics, notes,

Of course, that level of depravity has been seen before elsewhere — during the French Revolution, the Russian Revolution, the rise of Nazism in Germany. Americans today run the risk of becoming the “good Germans” of 90 years ago who looked the other way when extremists used brute force to acquire power, when human life became less important than one’s own personal safety, and when civilization gave way to barbarity.

It is time to call these people out.  They are the Nazis of the 21st century.  It is time for Americans from all walks of life to band together against the left-wing mobs.  It is time to say enough and to fight back against the hate that is being directed against our neighbors, the law enforcement officers.  It is time to tell the brainwashed zombies that their idiocy will be tolerated no longer.

Vote like your life depends on it.  It probably does.
