The COVID hysteria is ramping up again as more and more of the election corruption leaks out into the public consciousness. We are hearing from members of Joe Biden’s team that a national lockdown of four to six weeks is an absolute necessity if America is to overcome this virus. They have got to distract the public from the overwhelming amount of evidence coming forward.
This hysteria is absolutely ludicrous. A Cambridge University-trained virologist has recently spoken out in a public forum about the lunacy of all of this.
Dr Hodkinson is the CEO of Western Medical Assessments, and has been the Company’s Medical Director for over 20 years. He received his general medical degrees from Cambridge University in the UK, and then became a Royal College certified pathologist in Canada (FRCPC) following a residency in Vancouver, BC.
He is a medical specialist in pathology, which includes virology. A Royal College certified pathologist in Canada, he is the former chairman of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons committee in Ottawa. Hodkinson served as CEO of a large private medical laboratory in Edmonton, Alberta, and now runs MutantDx, a molecular diagnostics company in North Carolina that provides COVID-19 tests.
“It’s outrageous. This is the greatest hoax ever perpetrated on an unsuspecting population. There is absolutely nothing that can be done to contain this virus other than protecting older, more vulnerable people. It should be thought of as nothing other than a bad flu season. This is not ebola. It’s not SARS.”
Hodkinson went onto say that the reaction to the coronavirus is “politics playing medicine, and that’s a very dangerous game.”
Regarding masks, Hodkinson said masks “are utterly useless.” Hodkinson noted that there is no evidence base for their effectiveness whatsoever. This has been borne out by numerous studies that looked at the progress of the virus in various locales where the restrictions varied widely. One could not identify if a locale used any kind of mitigation or if they were draconian about it. The virus did what the virus was going to do.
In October, an analysis of a dozen graphs charting the number of COVID-19 cases in countries and U.S. states confirmed the conclusions of recent studies that mask mandates have no effect on the spread of the disease.
Hodkinson also weighed in on testing, noting he is in the business of testing for COVID-19.
“I do want to emphasize that positive tests do not, underlined in neon, mean a clinical infection. It’s simply driving public hysteria, and all testing should stop unless you’re presenting to hospital with some respiratory symptoms.”
Hodkinson was supported in this by a NYTimes article in August. Times reporter Apoorva Mandavilli summarized her story on Twitter: “NEW: All these months into the pandemic, we may have been testing the wrong way. Data from some state labs suggest up to 90% (!!) of people who get a positive result are no longer contagious and don’t need to isolate.”
The media will continue to run “case” totals on their screens because it allows those on the left to help to control the population through hysteria and fear. It’s time to say enough. Protect the vulnerable and let everyone else get back to the joy of living.
