As noted yesterday, we are faced with an unprecedented assault on our liberties and freedoms. And the MSM are leading the charge. And they are not going to stop. They put words in people’s mouths to condemn them. They invent narratives to meet their needs. The current “reporting” on January 6th is a theatrical production designed to oust the President and his followers, to shame people who have done nothing wrong and to end the American republic.
Marty Owen has published a piece over at wnd.com that I will excerpt here. The basic tenet that Owen makes is that one needs to use reason and common sense when evaluating the narratives put forward by the lame-stream media.
Owen makes four points that are good at any time but especially during these times.
-
Go to the primary sources. If journalists tell you that Trump incited people to riot by his speech, the only way you can determine whether that is true or not is by listening to his speech and drawing your own conclusions.
One might like to believe that so-called news sources actually deliver news. However, when it comes to PDJT and people on the right, the media will outright lie. And they will do so over and over.
I was there. PDJT’s speech was about 1:15 long. I have read the transcript. Anyone who asserts that PDJT incited people to riot either no longer has two working brain cells or has been hopelessly brainwashed into believing everything a hugely biased anti-Trump media puts out.
Bring your critical faculties and skepticism to all narratives put forward by the media. This is especially true when the narrative is attempting to denigrate someone with conservative credentials.
-
Consider the testimony of eyewitnesses who were present at an event and witnessed it firsthand. When you do that, you will realize that the testimony of many who were present at the Save America rally contrasts dramatically with the narrative the press is asking people to believe. Many who were present testify to the fact that they heard nothing in Trump’s speech which could be reasonably interpreted as an incitement to violence. They testify to the peaceful, respectful and orderly character of the crowd that was present, many of them carrying flags and signs, but not guns, showing that they did not come there to engage in an insurrection, but to encourage their elected officials to do the right thing in compliance with the law.
As I have noted previously, this was an old-fashioned love fest. It was a love fest of patriotic people expressing their deep love for their country and their President. They were also frustrated over the election fraud. More than once the crowd was chanting “We love Trump.”
After PDJT spoke, we walked (approx. two miles) at a leisurely pace. People were singing songs like God Bless America and the Star Spangled Banner. Everybody was very friendly.
This is what the media is referring to as an “insurrection.” This is what the media is calling a riot. It was nothing of the kind but the UniParty and the media believe they can pull the wool over the eyes of Americans who were not there. This is communist-style propaganda to control the thinking of everyday Americans who were not there.
The idea that the people present were a group of insurrectionists is so far from the truth as to be laughable if it wasn’t so terrifying as well.
Always carefully consider the testimony of those who were actually present if you can. You will get a lot closer to the truth than by listening to the media. In fact, when it comes to smear stories about conservatives, it is often true that if you believe the opposite of what the media is selling, you will be a lot closer to the truth.

Consider historical precedent. Historically, Trump supporters have been noted for their restraint and their orderly and law-abiding character at rallies. Many are professing Christians who believe strongly in the rule of law and in the need to submit to the governing authorities, even while protesting injustice, as an expression of trust in God. Though passionate in their convictions, they have not expressed those passions historically through violent means…
Now the media is selling the story that these people are violent domestic terrorists. The media is trying to silence through intimidation and coercion anyone who would speak out against the massively corrupt election that took place in November. Leftist members of Congress are calling for Sens. Hawley and Cruz to be put on the No Fly list because they dared to speak out. They also want to silence anyone else who dares to question the corrupt election that we just witnessed by adding them to this list.
I am not ashamed. However, they should be. https://t.co/yvqkgfzcpy

All of this is because they wanted the election to be fair. Our country is badly broken when elite politicians are saying things like this and expecting Americans to bow down to these pronouncements. Unfortunately, there are many who do not use the intelligence that God gave them to carefully reason their way through such nonsense.

Use common sense and reason to analyze narratives you are being asked to believe. Think about the logic of what you are being told by the press and ask yourself if it makes sense.
Why would PDJT want people to riot? Of course, he did not want that. Throughout his term PDJT has been a “by the book” President. He may not have liked some court decisions, but he has accepted them and moved on to find other ways of achieving America First objectives. Always this has been “by the book.” PDJT has not followed the example of the previous President who flouted the law and the Constitution whenever it suited his fancy.
Trump’s intention was clear. He wanted to stiffen the spine of weak-kneed Republicans to do the right thing. This was through the First Amendment right of peaceable assembly, not rioting.
The media has worked in lockstep to advance the idea that a horribly violent event took place in DC on January 6th. The following is a headline that appeared on many MSM sites the next day.
4 Dead And 52 Arrested In Capitol Riots
Let’s break this apart and see what the real story is.
First, as has been reported by primary sources from the ground in DC, there were no riots. Is it true that some Antifa got invited into the Capitol by Capitol police? There is video supporting that idea. So it may be true. It also may be true some pro-Trump loonies also took a stroll through the Capitol. There was some vandalism. There is video showing the pro-Trump curiosity seekers trying to stop some of the vandalism by Antifa.

It is interesting to note that Twitter puts a sensitive content warning on this tweet. I wonder how often they did that during the true riots that took place during the summer in DC.
52 Arrested…This is put here to convince the public that serious violence was taking place. I do not believe that that many were arrested on any one day during the summer riots. Were 52 arrested? The answer is yes. What were they arrested for? It took some snooping to find out. It turns out that the vast majority were arrested for curfew violations. The mayor of DC declared a 6 PM to 7 AM curfew for the city at 3 PM. I am certain that if these people had been engaged in violent acts in connection with a riot, they would not be charged with curfew violations.
However, blaring out that 52 were arrested advances the narrative that serious violence took place in DC. One has to critically and skeptically question everything. The media has an agenda. One cannot trust the media to accurately portray what happened.
4 Dead…This may be the most egregious piece of flim flam in this headline. It is only after three pictures, one video, one tweet and eight paragraphs on MSN.com that we find out that three of the dead suffered some kind of medical emergency while within the area around the rally. Other sites had similar results. Of course, the fourth death was the execution of the young mother, who was an Air Force vet, by Capitol police.
Since this headline came out, a fifth death, a police officer, has occurred. While I am sure there is a death certificate, there appears to be very little reporting of just what led to his demise. The skepticism in me leads me to believe he suffered some kind of medical emergency while performing his duties. However, I have no real facts to support any conclusion. This death is being lumped in with the idea of a violent insurrection.
The headline is designed to make you think that four people died as a result of the “riots.” As shown, that simply is not true. There is also the further implication that if these people had not attended the rally, they would still be alive.
We have no way of ascertaining if that would be true. However, it is a known fact that people die every day. In this country that is about 2.9 million each year. That comes out to about 7800 people every day. Now this is not uniform throughout the year. There are more during the winter months than during the spring, summer and fall. However, it is a good number for back-of-the-envelope calculations on mortality.
With approximately one million people present, how many people could be expected to expire during the time of the rally which started around 7 AM and lasted until curfew? There are 330 million people in the country. For each random group of one million people, one can expect approximately 24 people to die on any given day. So during the time frame of the rally we should expect 10-12 people to expire. Only four did so. One was executed by Capitol police.
The headline is a total sham. Yet many people believe from this headline, that mindless violence against the good of the country took place on January 6th.
In summary, Marty Owen says,
In these days of so much fake news and emotional propaganda, let us be sure that we apply our critical faculties to get past the hype to the reality of situations that develop, in order to see them clearly. Let us not take for granted the truth-telling of highly biased news sources. Go to the primary sources, consider the testimony of multiple eyewitnesses, consider historical precedent, and use common sense to analyze logically the narratives you are being asked to believe.
Amen!
