Recently the Biden Administration has been talking about curtailing travel between the states to help stop the COVID virus. In particular, since Florida has been “flaunting” the supposed “best practices,” it has been singled out for “punishment” by the federal government. Of course, this was to be done under the guise of a public health emergency caused by a new variant of the COVID virus. This ignores the declining case rates across the country.
Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis and Sen. Marco Rubio slammed the Biden administration for considering such a domestic travel ban on the state, calling the threat “unconstitutional” and a “political attack” on Floridians.
It is definitely that. This is part and parcel of the Left’s strategy to isolate people from each other. Various governmental agencies are forcing the separation of people from their community networks. Divide and conquer. The virus has been weaponized to diminish freedom and individual liberty. There are even churches and other faith-based organizations who have bought into the fear that is being hyped.

Florida, because of its large tourism industry, is a particular danger to the Left. The state is essentially open with little panic or fear about COVID. The Left cannot afford to have people bring this knowledge back to other states that have draconian lockdown measures in place. This would lead to unrest. This would lead to a clamor for lifting of these restrictions. That would undermine the control the Left has in these states.
In the meantime, the hopelessly inept Pete Buttigieg is floating the idea of needing a recent COVID test or a vaccine inoculation in order to board a domestic airliner. Again, this is all being pursued under the guise of a public health emergency that is no worse than the flu. The Left wants to be able to dictate who can go where and how people can travel. If you do not belong to the right political persuasion, your ability to travel within the country will be curtailed.
It is a bit different on our southern border with Mexico. The Biden administration will be going back to the “Catch & Release” that had hundreds of thousands of illegal aliens flowing across the border. Effectively this will be an “Open Border” policy that has been rejected by a vast majority of Americans. Sheriffs in counties along the border are saying that there is little COVID testing being done on these illegal aliens. The result of this “Open Border” policy has been a 100% increase in January in the number of illegal crossings.
I suppose that we are lucky that China Joe is white. Somehow, because Obama was partly black, fundamental differences on policy automatically made one a racist. That is what we would be hearing now if Obama was actually President instead of being the man behind the curtain. Instead, those who disagree on policy are now being labeled as cultists in need of de-programming or of being sent to a re-education camp like used to be done in the old Soviet Union or as is now done in China (if they don’t shoot you first).
The Biden administration is attempting to curtail the ability for citizens to travel freely but has effectively hung out an “Open Borders” sign for illegals to come into the country. Is this just the usual hypocrisy from the Left? Or is there something more sinister going on?
