The Democrats are hard at work in Congress trying to strip away more of our fundamental liberties. The latest foray into coercion is H. R. 842 also known as the PRO Act. Rep. Ralph Norman (R-SC) lists a few of the worst provisions of this bill.
If you’re a union boss, you’re going to LOVE what House Democrats are pushing this week. It’s called the “PRO Act” (H.R. 842). There are multiple problems with this bill, but let’s focus on the three worst:
FIRST – South Carolina is what’s known as a “right to work” state. This means you are entitled to work in a unionized business without being required to belong to that labor union. You can join or not – it’s up to you. That’s fair, right? Well, this bill would strip away our “right to work” provisions in South Carolina and 26 other states. That means employees at unionized businesses will be REQUIRED to either pay union dues or forfeit their job.
That’s right. You would be forced to PAY money to have the right to work where you want to work. A thriving economy (such as that which we had under the Trump administration) provides ample opportunities for all people to work for a living wage wherever they want to. This bill would take away that right.
SECOND – Let’s assume you work at a company where a labor union is trying to set up shop. Under this law, your company would be FORCED to provide your name, phone number, email, and HOME ADDRESS to the union in advance of that vote. Talk about the potential for harassment and intimidation! They could come right to your front door! This is entirely inappropriate, and would be a huge violation of your privacy.
This is like giving the Gestapo an invitation to come and harass you. The Cancel Culture, which is a Democratic invention, is bad enough right now. They are ending the livelihoods and peaceful lives of many people with their endless forays into public shaming. Doxing people is wrong. Disrupting the peaceful lives of people because they do not share your political point of view is what the Chinese Communists do. Now the Democrats want to give this ability to the labor unions to do legally.
THIRD – What if the company you work for does business with another company that’s involved in a labor dispute? Can a union target your company with picketing and boycotts just for doing business with the company they’re in a dispute with? That’s clearly inappropriate since your company is just a neutral / secondary party. That’s been the law for 85+ years. But Democrats aim to change that with this bill. If it passes and becomes law, unions in a labor dispute will also be able to target uninvolved parties like landlords, vendors, and the customers of that company. It’s ridiculous.
I agree with Rep. Norman. But no mater how ridiculous it may seem, the Democrats will probably pass this monstrosity since their only agenda is power and money. This bill would give them more of that.
Like most bills that advance the liberal agenda, the list of problems goes on and on. This bill actually passed the Democrat-controlled House during the last term in Congress, but was stopped cold in its tracks in the Senate.
Obviously, I’ll be a hard NO when this comes up for a vote tomorrow. Nevertheless, it will likely pass with no Republican support since Democrats are in the majority in the House. Hopefully it won’t have enough votes in the Senate – we’ll have to wait and see what happens.
As everyone knows, labor unions contribute massive amounts of money to Democrat campaigns; far, far more than Republicans. (See link below). So it’s obvious why this bill is being pushed through Congress.
If you’re a labor union boss, this is exactly what you want, and you know exactly where to send your next contribution.

If you are an average American, you are being sold down the river by Washington elites who are hiding behind razor wire. If this bill is passed, labor thugs will be free to threaten and harass innocent, peace-loving people. This does not bother the elites who care about only one thing and that is not you.
