Marxism

Someone, who I will refer to as Kathryn, has written a short piece on Marxism in America.  In my opinion Kathryn accurately defines the problem facing America with Marxism.  She also outlines the way back to America, the Land of the Free.

The truth of the matter is that Marxists have lived within the USA, albeit most visibly, since early 1900s….the difference between then and now was our masses shared a collective identity and pride as Americans.

I believe that Kathryn has hit the nail on the head.  60 years ago most Americans took pride in our exceptionalism.  They took pride in the fact that we were a “light on the hill.”  They took pride in the fact that America saved the world from totalitarianism.

Things have changed slowly since then.  Marxism first gained a toehold and then transformed that into a full-fledged capture of our educational system.

Efforts have been ongoing in the public schools and universities since the 60s, escalating with Johnson and his Vietnam War.

Even at that time, there still were ‘old school’ teachers/professors who had been uncorrupted by the ‘new educational formats’ inculcated with the new force of young teachers replacing the old…

So, we now have had decades of unfettered challenge to the teaching standards by which our children are taught. School officials have been guarding their turf while at the same time they indoctrinated two generations, maybe three, of young children…all done while parents were encouraged by the government and its media cohorts to engage in two-parent working homes….

During the first half of the twentieth century, public education was not the all-encompassing goliath that we see today.  There were a significant number of parochial schools in the land that taught many children.  These were run by various churches and religious organizations.  Private schooling was another significant option.

Since the middle of the last century, there has been a concerted effort to reduce these schools on the part of teachers’ unions and government entities.  Fewer such schools meant more money and power flowing to these unions in public education.

Keep in mind that public schooling came into existence primarily to counter the influence that parochial schools had on the children of this country.  The idea was that one could not properly mold children to march in lockstep to government decrees without the indoctrination of the public school system.

The Marxists/Communists recognized this and infiltrated our educational system.  Once there they sought to remake America in their image.

The Marxists/Communists now have a huge swath of young people…many of whom are voting age…and newly arrived individuals, whether legal or illegal, that either feel no affinity to America or who hate America, love handouts, hate hard work, and chronically cry ‘victim’…

There can be little doubt about the truth of this.  Many illegals entering the country want to know where is their free stuff.  This week the administration is floating the idea of giving illegals obscene amounts of money because their families were separated after they illegally entered the country.

Our children are being taught that the color of your skin defines you as either an oppressor or an oppressed.  This the essence of Critical Race Theory.  Individual achievement is defined as part of a supremacist culture.

What can be done to counter this?  Kathryn goes on:

And just as there were a group of relatively young men…and women…who successfully overthrew the Crown in the 1700s…so too can those, united against the imposition of Marxist policies here, do so today…

It begins at home, and then stretches to the local community, then to the State and then Federal….we all have the power…it is just a matter of using it …especially as a united front.

I wholeheartedly agree.  There are many ways that this can take place.  One of the most obvious is home schooling.  Home schooling is growing as an option across the country.  The regulations vary from state to state.  It certainly is easier to do in some states over others.

Charter schools are another approach.  Many charter schools have waiting lists so there is clearly an interest by many parents to get their children away from the miasma of public school education.

Showing up to school board meetings is another approach.  Board members have a legal right to chart curriculum.  Despite the DOJ and the FBI trying to silence them, parents have a right to challenge that curriculum.  And the truth of the matter is that Merrick Garland’s DOJ clear intent is to chill dissent, to punish parents.

By the way the fact that the DOJ and the FBI are trying to silence people shows fear on the part of the Marxists who are currently running things.  These attempts to control people are an unmistakable reaction to fear.

Then our actions need to extend to city and county council meetings.  Our reps need to understand that we are paying attention.  They need to sense our anger at where things are headed.  And the anger is there.  One police officer with whom I regularly speak has indicated that he has not seen this much underlying anger in our area during his entire career.

I’m a proud American and an optimist. It takes knowing the extent of the problem before we can effectively address it. The Lesko Brandon and FJB chants give me hope.  This can be done.  It just takes a commitment of time to see it through.  I will close this post with Kathryn’s closing declaration:

Live.  Unafraid.
