Criminality?

The NYTimes reported that the first real-world study of how vaccines hold up against the Omicron variant showed a significant drop in protection against symptomatic cases caused by the new and fast-spreading form of the coronavirus.

It is interesting to note how the NYTimes phrase all of this.  The term used is “symptomatic cases.”  This effectively means that if you have the sniffles and a slight fever.  What about serious illness?  No mention is made of this in the article.  The “evidence is still coming in.”

The NYTImes noted in the UK:

Government scientists on Friday also offered the most complete look yet at how quickly Omicron was spreading in England’s highly vaccinated population, warning that the variant could overtake Delta by mid-December and, without any precautionary measures, cause Covid-19 cases to soar.

Four months after people received a second dose of the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine, the shots were roughly 35 percent effective in preventing symptomatic infections caused by Omicron, a significant drop-off from their performance against the Delta variant, the scientists found.

Let’s be reminded that many studies of the so-called vaccines show a significant dropoff in the ability to ward off symptomatic illness at four months.  An Israeli study showed 39% effectiveness at four months.  So, is it Omicron that is causing the lack of effectiveness or just the waning immunity of the mRNA therapy?

Virus evolution typically follows a pattern of becoming more infectious and less serious.  Is that the case with Omicron?

It certainly seems so.  No deaths have been reported in the African countries where the variant emerged.  In fact, there are no recorded deaths anywhere in the world due to the new variant.  Neil Ferguson, a well-known epidemiologist, said that modeling work by research teams suggest the Omicron is roughly 25% to 50% more infectious than Delta which was significantly more infectious than the original strain.

The thrust of the NYTimes article appears to be to stoke fear.  It mentions the potential of hospital systems being overwhelmed by COVID patients.  The article makes zero mention of effective early treatments such as Ivermectin that have essentially ended COVID surges in countries like India and Indonesia.  It makes no mention of hydroxychloroquine which appears to be the prophylactic agent that has kept African cases much lower than the rest of the world.  Why not?

Once again Big Media appears to be underwriting obscene profits for Big Pharma.  Is what they are doing criminal?  Will they continue to urge a 3rd, a 4th a 5th booster shot while ignoring efficacious treatments that are cheap and readily available?
