Those of us who pay attention to the political and economic scenes in this world are often appalled at what we see. In some respects we can become like some police officers who see too much evil and not enough good. It is always refreshing to find a story about the good in people particularly our younger people.
Several teenage boys were in their way to school recently in Rome, Georgia. Yes, they are already back in school in Georgia. I noticed this two weeks ago when I was visiting family there. Apparently, school resumed August 1st.
This week’s heroes are six high school football players from Rome HS, who leapt into action to rescue a woman trapped in a crumpled car that seemed on the verge of bursting into flames.
They literally started using their strength to pry the door open, so the lady could be released. After a few seconds of pulling and pushing the door, the boys ended up opening it and helped her get out of the car.
Then they went to see if help was needed with the other vehicle.
The six young men are Cesar Parker, Treyvon Adams, Antwiion Carey, Messiah Daniels, Tyson Brown, and Alto Moore.
It is always good to know that America is still raising truly good people.
These teenagers are heroes.
