Odds & Ends

American Federation of Teachers (AFT) president Randi Weingarten defended a contract between Minneapolis Public Schools and the union which will fire white teachers over minority teachers.

The March contract between Minneapolis Public Schools and the Minneapolis Federation of Teachers (MFT) includes a deal that fires teachers who are not a part of underrepresented populations first, instead of basing termination on seniority.

In other words, they will discriminate against white teachers regardless of seniority or ability.  Layoffs will be based on the color of the teacher’s skin. The new policy is intended to reverse “past discrimination” due to “disproportionate hiring.”

No discrimination in hiring was proved or even alleged during negotiations.  This language is just a smokescreen to hire underqualified individuals and to keep them on the job because of the color of their skin.

This is racism pure and simple.

The Netherlands has come under complete control of the World Economic Forum.  The government is planning to seize 20% of livestock farms, all in the name of climate change.

Andrea Widburg notes:

Now, livestock farmers are up in arms because they’ve finally realized that their government is about to seize their land, all in pursuit of “nitrogen reduction.”  We’ve heard about the protests, but Peter of Sweden is the first person I’ve seen who breaks down the numbers and explains what’s really happening (and it’s about power more than “climate change”):

What will happen when there is not enough to eat?  What will happen when prices go into the stratosphere?

Peter notes that this will be the state-sanctioned taking of the farms and property.  Isn’t this what was done in places like Cambodia under the Khmer Rouge?  How about the Soviet Union?  Keep in mind that Trudeau is planning the same thing in Canada.  How long before the government tries that here?

These last few years have shown us all how precious and fragile our freedom and liberty are. If there is one thing that we learned from the COVID experience, it’s how willing how our leaders, both elected and unelected, are willing to revert to the most base, violent, and controlling part of their natures.  How many millions will die from this idiotic nonsense?

It is time to take our countries back from the elite nobility who think they are above the “proles.”

Betsy DeVos, who served as Education Secretary under Trump, recently said that the Department of Education should not exist and even called for its abolishment.

She made the remarks while addressing the group ‘Moms for Liberty.’

Throughout her time in the Trump administration, DeVos was a frequent target of teacher unions and Democrats because of her advocacy for school choice and vouchers.

“Parents across the country are upset for a variety of reasons with how the system has handled the last two years. And they remain upset and they… want to have control of their children’s education,” she said.

Parents in local communities should decide what’s best for their children and their schools, not federal bureaucrats and unions.  The Department of Education doesn’t educate anyone. It’s certainly not worth the money that is spent on it.
